I logged onto Auctionwatch last week and I saw something new. On the manage my images page I read about being able to have bigger pictures for my auctions. I hate having to make sure my pictures are no larger than 350K, sometimes people want to see things that bigger before they bid. What was this new Message about, can we really have larger pics. in our auctions now. Thanks Carla

Hello,

You can have as large of an image size as you want, as long as the file size of the image is not bigger than 350k. You will even want to try to get the file size, not the image size, smaller than that if you can, so users without DSL can load the images in a reasonable amount of time as well.

You can upload large images and have our system scale them down with the option to click on and view at the full physical size you uploaded them at. This option can be found under the My Account tab, under the Global Preferences link.

O.K when I am uploading my pics. onto my pc and save them, is it the file size or the picture size that I am saving? I have been using the Kodak picutre software and it gives me the option of saving my pics. in different sizes. When I don't save them at 320x213 Auction watch won't except them. When I do save them at that size I can't enlarge them in my auctions. Please help me I am very confused about this picture situation. I want bigger pics, I just don't know how. I also looked into The option in My Account tab, under the Global Preferences link, so that I could upload large images and have your system scale them down, but I didn't see that option either. Please help soon.

Carla

Hi Carla,

Unfortunately, all image editing/downloading programs are different, so I cannot tell you exactly how to get bigger pictures without big file sizes specifically in your Kodak picture program.

Under the My Account tab, using the Global Preferences link, check the box labeled 'Automatically scale down large images for faster download and cleaner presentation.'

Then, when you upload big pictures (once you get the actual file size down) - we will scale them down and make them available to view at the full size you uploaded them at.
