I am switching back to you guys and there have been lots of changes in the year since I left.
I am trying to figure it all out but having some problems with a couple of areas.
If I understand it correctly, any closed auctions that have not been listed for 12 weeks will automatically be "archived"?
What does that mean? Are they gone forever? I see you talk about it interchangeably with deleting ads and said the delete button wasn't needed if auto-archive was on.
Here's my question. The main reason I am coming back to AW is because the service I now use has absolutely no way for me to tell what has sold and what has not. Everything just gets lumped back into one area called "ads".
I liked your service because if something sold I could see that and then delete pics and the ad, and if not, could keep them all active indefinitely until I decided to list them again. I know you now have limits on pics but I can go in and trigger them to stay. What about the ads? Where do they go?
I need to keep everything that does not sell active until I finally sell it or give up which is over a year in some cases. I wait 3 or 4 months to relist after listing twice, so I will have a new audience of buyers.

Hi Lindajean,
If you have the auto archive turned on, then anything older than 12 weeks would have been archived. You can try using Restore to bring the newer ones back however if you have been gone a while, you probably won't be able to restore them. You can then download your archive and open up the file in Excel, however this does not download titles or descriptions.
What I would recommend doing is going to Global Preferences in your My Account tab, scrolling down and deselecting auto archive. Then anything you do from now on will remain in closed until you decide you want to remove them. Also you may want to save the listings you create to inventory so you always have a copy available.

Hi Lindajean,
I just wanted to mention to you that we plan on charging in the future to keep the auto archive off so to be sure, you will want to start saving to your inventory so that you always have a copy of your auctions.

Hello lindajean,
We have not made final decisions on the charges that will be applied if auto-archive is turned off. We recommend that you set it to the maximum (12 weeks) and save your items to inventory as you list them if you want to have access to them indefinitely. Archive applies only to closed listings, not inventory items.
