I've been curious if I was using the right AW plan but I haven't had the time to make a comparison with real data - until now. I just got my current invoice and calculated what my costs would have been under each plan.
It would be nice if AW could summarize the invoice by number of listings and number of final values to make this calculations. In any case I post these for others to make comparisons and maybe share how they look under their plans.
In the last month I had 523 listings and $2902 of sales. Under each plan my bill would have been:
Flat rate Premium : $117.55
Variable Rate Premium : $68.12 my current plan
Flat Rate Power : $92.25
Variable Rate Power : $66.23
I'm currently on the Variable Rate Premium so I would have saved a couple of bucks on the Variable Rate Power. I'm going to follow my costs for a couple of months before changing.
Anyone else want to share?

Thank you for posting this. I only run 10-20 auctions a week but as I increase my sales I will want to keep an eye on which plan will save me money.

Good point!! A few months ago I did the same thing, looked at the stats. I post around a 1000 items a month. My AW bill was over $100. I did the same due dilligence and found the premium accound would work for me. My bill is usually around $50 or so. Any one that is on first tier and paying over $45 should do their homework..

Which is the plan I am on (standard) and I believe the best in my situation. You can also factor the $4.95 that goes toward your storefront if you are using a storefront and a power plan. The only benefit I see in having a flat rate plan is you don't have to deal with AW's refund process for deadbeat bidders which in my book is designed to discourage refunds (and it does, it's not worth my time on small amounts)
