Ok Hope I didn't outsmart myself. I jsut uploaded about 30 auctions with titles and a sentence description and plan to go back and edit the auctions tonight or tommorow and attach the images. I list with AW Sales mananger and picture host with you guys. Is this going to be a problem adding the pictures after the auction has started?? Will the fees be different?

Most of these were once relists, but the pictures were deleted since the time had been so long. I still have then on my computer I just need to upload them.

I did it this way since I am off to the shop and knew they would never probably get indexed at 8:00 tonight when I will be back.

Hi Mildreds,

Attaching the images after the auctions are live will give you an image hosting fee of 10 cents per image, since you are on the standard plan and they are being added afterward. It's easy to add them, let me know if you need the directions on how to do it.

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Mildreds,

Here are two different ways you can add your images:

1. From our legacy Image Hosting service:

To access, click the Image Hosting tab, and select the image(s) you want to attach to your auction. Click the "Attach Image" button at the bottom of the page. On the next page, select the auction site from the drop-down menu, and click the "Existing Auction" radio button. The next page will require you to enter the user ID, password, auction number, or if "Other Auction Site" was selected from the drop-down menu, you will need to copy and paste the HTML code into the auction revision form.

2. From Sales Manager, click on the "Manage Images" link. Check the box of the image(s) you wish to add under the select column. Click the "Attach Image" button on the bottom of the page, verify your image, and click "Continue". You will then come to a page that contains a box or block of HTML. Copy and paste the entire box of HTML into the description box of the auction revision form, being very careful not to alter any pre-existing HTML that may be in this field.

Keep in mind that your image(s) will appear beneath the ad template on the auction page.

Regards,

Sonya

Would I be better off cancelling the auctions and relisting tonight?? It's just in the past Ebay/AW has always been frozen and my auctions never listed. Are things freezing up right now???

Hi Mildreds,

At the moment there is some latency launching to eBay related to the eBay API and free listing day. Since they are active right now, it is better to just leave them and add the images -- if you want to cancel it, be aware that the latency right now is around 90 minutes. You can check the announcement forum for updates on this situation as well.

Sonya

So rather than the listings being free I have to pay extra to Auction Watch because I didn't have my pictures ready. I was correct that there would be problems listing. Can't seem to win. I am not sure I understand the logic since the listing were originally listed with sales pro through auction watch so why does one have to pay extra???

Hi Mildreds,

If you preview your listings before you launch them you will be able to see if the images are present so that you can avoid this in the future.

I was kicking myself for not doing this last night, Now I'm glad (I guess) I didn't. Seems like we just can't win.

Sonya, It wasn't a matter of previewing. I knew the pictures were not there. Some I still had to scan. I just knew from the last FLD and my auctions were hung up in processing and NEVER made it to the free list day, that I had better launch some in the morning and then go back and fix.

Never thought I would be charged when I launched the auctions with Sales manager pro. Live and Learn. I am getting so tired of always having to work around something.
