Hello,
I have used the Import Listings for any eBay Second Chance Offers that I have and have had no problem. I understand there is a fee for the images, again no problem.

I just imported my listings to pull in two Second Chance Offers and they came in okay... no problem.

Problem is, it also imported two Second Chance Offers that I had previously imported, payed the image fees, closed out and archived! It's bad enough to have to pay additional fees for the first import for Second Chance Offers that ORIGINALLY wer launched from SMPro, but to pay for them twice after they have been closed and archived is too much.

Here are the two auction ID numbers that should NOT have been pulled in again:

1981470556 and 1978040165

The following two auction ID numbers are the ones that I WANTED to pull in (and they did):

2903638549 and 2903502964

Please ensure that I am credited for the image charges for the two auctions that were pulled in incorrectly.

Thanks,
Greg Williams

FOLLOWUP: Just wanted to also point out that the Doctor Zhivago auction that was incorrectly pulled in (ID # 1978040165) had none of the Post Sale keys marked (as it should be) but has now "evolved" on its own and darkened key # 3 for payment.

Clicking on the keys for this auction shows ALL keys with a checkmark and older dates EXCEPT the payment received key, #3, which has the older date now replaced with today's date of 01/01/03.

For the record, I did not update the payment info. I had no need, this is a long closed auction.

Something's amiss. <grin>

Thanks,

Greg Williams

Hello,

Did the additional charges actually show up on your statement? The system should see that the item number had already been listed on your statement with fees in the past, if it had, and not charge you a second time.

There are issues currently with the import/track feature. The system was originally setup to only provide post sale keys on items listed/relisted directly from the Sales Manager, which unfortunately means we cannot guarantee that if a workaround (like importing items to use in post sale) will always behave in the same way as we update and make changes to the site.

Engineering is checking into these issues currently, please let us know if anything changes in the behavior of these items.

Hi Christopher,
Thanks for the quick response! (Didn't expect anyone to be there today!)

Initially no charges showed up at all. Now, 2 hours later, charges have appeared but only for auction 2903502964 which is an active Second Chance Offer, and that is expected.

It's refreshing to know the system is programmed not to charge again for the other auctions it imported.

I didn't realize this was a work around, and I can see that it is better to wait until after the potential buyer has purchased the Second Chance Offer before importing the item in to my Post Sale.

That's a reasonable work around - and fair.

I understand the reason for the additional charges for auctions that were never posted through AW, but hopefully engineering can eventually develop a flag of sorts to ID imported eBay Second Chance offers that were originally listed from AW... that would be nice.

Thanks again and I'll keep checking today and tomorrow to see if the system charges for those two previously imported and archived auctions.

FOLLOWUP: Wanted to pass on that the AW system has NOT charged me for the images in the duplicate (previously imported) auctions.

Everything seems to be okay.

Thanks,
