AuctionWatch is introducing a new checkout tool to help you close sales and process orders faster! With the AuctionWatch Checkout button, your buyers can proceed directly to your checkout page from the listing as soon as an auction closes, without having to wait for WBNs to arrive in the mail. This helps ensure that your buyers use your preferred checkout method, saving you time and effort.

Starting today, you can include the new AuctionWatch Checkout button in any or all of your listings during the "Create Listing" process. For your eBay and eBay Motors auctions, the AuctionWatch Checkout button can also be displayed on a panel that dynamically appears in your listing once the auction closes -- this serves as a further reminder to your winning bidders to use your preferred checkout method. This panel will be turned on AUTOMATICALLY for eBay sellers using auto-WBN in approximately two weeks, but you can choose to turn it on now by making the appropriate selection in your Post Sale Management Preferences.

To see an example of how the AuctionWatch Checkout button will look in a listing, please click here or, for more information and answers to some common questions, read our FAQ.

Happy Selling!

The AuctionWatch Team

We have now fixed the issue where the AuctionWatch Checkout button was appearing in Quick Preview even when turned off. The Quick Preview will once again be an accurate preview of your item listing.

Thank you for your patience.

Thanks,

Christina

Why did you automatically reset my ebay preferences when you rolled out this new feature?

I relisted a bunch of closed auctions this morning, and by some fluke noticed that this new feature had been added for me without my permission - and in checking back on some that I had just relisted I also noticed some of the shipping options had been "unchecked".

Now I'm having to go back and unschedule every pending auction, copy it, revise, and reschedule.

DON'T MESS WITH MY PREFERENCES WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!

We have now fixed the issue where the AuctionWatch Checkout button was appearing in all existing Inventory items, even those that did not include automatic WBN delivery.

The AuctionWatch Checkout button will now only be added to existing pending items if automatic WBN delivery has been chosen for that item. The button simply provides another way for your buyers to get to your checkout pages, the same pages that they access through the WBN. No other changes have been made to existing preference or item settings.

For both Sales Manager and Sales Manager PRO users, if you do not wish to include the checkout buttons in your listing even though you are sending an automatic WBN, you may turn this feature off in your AuctionWatch preferences: https://secure.auctionwatch.com/my/acct/psm.html.

Thank you for your patience.

Your approach still stinks. It reminds me of shady magazine sellers that send you a magazine and if you don't specifically tell them to stop, they continue and then bill you for the subscription.

If the future, when you roll out a new feature, PLEASE set it to where we have to Opt IN, not OUT.

Does anyone there at AW actually use the site to sell on ebay? If they did, they'd understand how damned aggravating it can be to lose two hours work because someone there gets to play with the switches.

You get a D- on this deal.

Seems as there is a security lapse in the new checkout , as anyone with the winners email can go to check out with out verifacation , is this true .

Also if you click on the checkout button on an exhisting current auction it takes you to a page that give out your email address

to Quote the page " If you have trouble, please contact me then there is a link to my email "

***** This will no doubt be Abused by spammers using bots searching ebay for AW checkout buttons to collect real email address *** I urge you to remove this or make it optional or in such a way where our actual email is not given out but a message can still be sent

Again this can be a major problem
please nip this spam bomb in the bud

thank you

Thank you for your feedback.

The AuctionWatch Checkout button is meant to complement our sellers' existing usage of Winning Bidder Notifications. Whenever you use WBNs, we recommend using the AuctionWatch Checkout button, since it takes winning bidders to the exact same checkout pages as the link within the WBN. Therefore, using both tools in tandem will help give your buyers more ways to use your preferred checkout process.

From the initial confirmation page, if a winning bidder's email address matches their user id (and is therefore visible to the public), they will be sent an additional confirmation e-mail once they enter the checkout process. These winning bidders must then use the link in that confirmation e-mail in order to complete checkout.

We appreciate the risk of potential spam exposure and are actively looking into alternative ways to provide buyers with a way to contact the seller.

Thanks for your patience.
