At any given time I have 4-5,000 images in my image database. Since i'd like to keep this database as small as possible, since it takes up room on my hard drive as well as your server - a couple questions/requests:
I understand that an image not viewed in a 90 day period is deleted. What constitutes "viewing" an image? If someone on eBay calls up a closed auction, does that reset the 90-days? I notice I have many images that go with closed auctions, but which have very recent "last viewed" dates.
this ties directly to my request: would it be possible to have a seller option to "delete image for closed aucitons"?? Granted, there are the rare occassions when the image might be needed again (non-paying bidder and subsequent relist) but I'd rather be able to delete thousands of old photos and go through the trouble of retaking a few photos if necessary.

Good morning jaymark9,
Yes, the 90 days can be reset by the auction being viewed. The 90 days can also be reset by viewing the image in image hosting. And by that I mean clicking on the image to view the larger version of said image.
Thank you for your suggestion on an option to delete closed auction images. I will pass it along to our development team.

Hi Tara and Jaymark, I do it all the time. That is clearing old images out on sold and paid for auctions to make my image hosting site more user friendly. Just go page by page (I suggest starting at the last page working forward) and click the box on each image you want deleted. Then a page pops up asking you if you are sure you want to delete those images. Click yes and Voila! Images gone. I think that is what Jaymark is requesting. Hope this helps. Steve

I too have deleted images using the same method...however, with 5000+ images to go through (currently 65 pages of images), it would be nice to just be able to auto-delete those that go with auctions that have closed and I no longer need.
