WHAT is with the new text addition inside the HTML for Image Attachments????????????

This is not text that only shows up when clicked on or the mouse is held over it, it is there on the page, right along with the photo!! So NOW there is a large Vendio box logo under the image AND THEN under THAT, in LARGE FONT and UNDERLINED words:
"Reliable image hosting provided by Vendio. Unlimited images for $12.95.". This is sooooo tacky, unprofessional-looking, steals the show away from not only the image but the text that we, as Seller's, want directly below the image - like say, our TITLE?

We have no re-course here because of your DEMAND of: "Copy and paste all information from the box below into the Item Description field of the auction form.As per our User Agreement, all images hosted by Vendio must be accompanied by our click-through banner. The banner is included in the system generated code above. Please be aware that any alterations to the code which result in the elimination of our banner will place your images and account in jeopardy."

Here is the actual HTML, which you DEMAND we keep in when using your image hosting:
<center><img alt="Smart Services for Smart Sellers" src="http://imagehost.vendio.com/img/header/logo/vendiologo88x31.gif" border=0><br> <br><a href="http://www.vendio.com/bin/ref.x/1803500154"><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2" color="#3366cc"><b>Reliable image hosting provided by Vendio. Unlimited images for $12.95.</b></font></a><br>

Please explain this and rectify immediately

Bifette, this is horribly scary - I don't see it on my auctions yet, can you please provide us with an auction number so that we can see what it looks like. Mine only shows a new lengthier version of vendio's original info that shows up at the end of the listing.

You can remove the Veddio HTML from the massage , it is legal as you have one already in your auction i do it all the time when i use 2 pictures on top in my auctions.

Hello Biffette,

jefftal1 is correct, unless you are an image hosting only user, and just attaching Vendio images to auctions you never listed from here in the first place, you do not have to include the text about our services.

Christopher

Christopher,
EVERYBODY NEEDS TO TAKE A LOOK AT HOW LOVELY YOUR NEW HTML TEXT LOOKS WHEN MANUALLY ATTACHING IMAGES INTO ALL AUCTIONS THEY LAUNCH FROM VENDIO - See the top image in Item number: 2338778993 !!!!
I launch ALL my auctions from Vendio and usually attach the images myself from Image Hosting so I can arrange special placement of them within the text rather than use the limited Templates & pre-set "Select" image options. So, in this instance, which I'm guessing is the MAJORITY of your members, are
you saying that the warning about using ALL the HTML in an attaced image does apply since I do launch from here and am not at an "Image Host Only" member? So all of us will have to accept this hideous, tacky, unprofessional, distracting and intrusive addition into all of our auctions from now on?? For me, this means that essentially that the large Vendio logo box & the words "Reliable image hosting provided by Vendio. Unlimited images for $12.95", BECOMES my title, since I attach images at the top as well as within the text farther down???

Hi Biffette - Your anger is justified - it looks horrible. It would appear that you are able to eliminate that portion of code when adding your images to your auctions because the info appears at the bottom of your auction, but shame on Vendio for once again making changes without notifying us of the repercussions thereof. It seems to me that this was recently changed and anyone not aware of this change and copying and pasting information as usual to attach images were unaware of what the result was. At the very least we should have been notified that some code should be eliminated if placing an image into a vendio launched auction because it will duplicate the info that appears at the bottom of the auction.

Hello Biffette,

You do not have to include any of that text.

Just remove the rest of the HTML code that makes that text appear.

This is all you need:

planejane - thanks for the suggestion. We will pass along a note to try and clarify this policy further on that image hosting page for situations such as.

Regards,
Christopher

Hi Biffette here is the HTML of your picture without the Vendio logo :
http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/biffette/pyra4S.jpg

You can still revise and remove the logo even now.
