I have always had my ALI turned to off at Paypal. I have always had Paypal checked in Vendio's Global Preferences with a check besides inclue Paypal Checkout button and logo in listing. I do not see anywhere on my closed auctions a place to click on to pay by Paypal. Is that because I am the seller? or is it just not there? I do not want to use Ebay or Vendio checkout. Should I click on include only Paypal logo in listing? Will that give the buyer a place to click on to pay for the auction? I thought one could click on the Paypal logo on the bottom that is included under Payment Methods Accepted but that doesn't seem to work.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi sdb16,

This payment preferences information does not contain a link. If you want a link in your listings other than Vendio Checkout, you have two choices:

1. You can insert the manual "Smart Logo" html from PayPal into your listings. You can include this information in the repetitive listing text at Vendio to make it easy to include in each and every listing.

2. You can change your PayPal preference at Vendio to include the checkout button. If you don't want eBay checkout, you should also ensure you have eBay checkout disabled at the eBay site. The URL below is an image of the eBay page on which you can find the Checkout Preference.

Take care.

It seems to me that I already have #2. At Ebay, I have their checkout marked as off. AT Vendio, under Global Preference, I have checked to include Paypal checkout button and logo in listing. Is this what you mean? or am I still missing something?
Thanks.

sdb16,

Your settings are correct to enable a payment button in your eBay listings and not enable either Vendio or eBay checkout. You're all set to enjoy the rest of your evening! Take care.

Those are the settings that I have always had. I never changed anything yet I don't think there is a Paypal payment button there now. Should I be able to see this when an auction ends, or only the buyer?
Thanks.

Can you tell me how to get something on my auctions so that when they end, there is a pay now button, or a Paypal symbol that can be clicked? I do not want to use the checkout from Ebay or Vendio but would like people to be able to click on Paypal and be able to pay this way.
Any help would be appreciated.

sdb16,

Your best answer is to use the "Smart Logo" manual insertion html from PayPal. You can take this html, copy it and paste it into your repetitive text at Vendio that gets submitted into every listing. That way you essentially have the same functionality that ALI provides without the need for PayPal to go and revise items and add the information at the bottom of each of your listings. I hope that helps. There are some other posts in this thread that provide examples of how people are doing this, and I've provided a bit more detail in earlier posts as well.
