Last night I had Vendio launch 17 auctions for me. It was Penny Gallery day at eBay and all of my auctions included the gallery feature. When the auction launched, no gallery picture appeared for any of the auctions. I contacted eBay Live help and they couldn't figure it out. They just told me to end the auctions, request a credit for listing fees, and relist the auctions. What's going on??? So now, if I wanted to relist, I won't be eligible for the Penny Gallery fee structure, since Penny Gallery Days are finished. Where is the error and why?? Thanks for looking into this for me. I don't want to run into this problem again.

Hmmmmm....I just checked the other posting board that Vendio has for eBay Outlook and I see that I'm not the only one that had the same problem. So, is it a Vendio problem or an eBay problem?? Or is it an I'll blame you and you blame me situation?

I think it's time for Ebay and Vendio to get their act together.
I don't care who is to blame.
That is not the customer's problem.

We pay fees for both services and it is frustrating to not get what we pay for!

I got little windows that say "click to view photo".

I've tried reentering the URL manually and it still does not work.

It happened on relist AND new auctions

Hello,

Try entering in the URL for your image in the gallery correction form. Here is the URL to that form:

http://cgi3.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?DisplayGalleryImagePage

Here is the URL to use for your image:

http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/yourAWusername/yourimagefilename.jpg

This URL can be used in any auction and can be altered to point to any image in your list simply by changing the image filename portion - just be sure that the filename *exactly* matches the filename on our site (case-sensitive.)

For those of you who already tried and had problems doing it -- what was the error?

eBay's gallery doesn't update for sometimes up to four hours after a listing launches with new submissions. They are not going to show up right away, but the URL is submitted to the eBay gallery. When they do promotions, it may take longer for the gallery to update.

Regards,

Sonya

Hello,

Gallery issues are on eBay's end. I checked your listings and you did submit a gallery image along with your listing. I would advise you to wait until it has been 24 hours and then if they still show up that way, email eBay to ask about your gallery images. If they say the problem is on our end, please forward us that information, but as far as I can tell it looks like it's just a delay on images being submitted to the gallery from the recent promotion.

Regards,

Sonya

Regarding eBay's problem with Gallery pictures. Here is what eBay has to say about it..They are saying that it's only those sellers who use the eBay Pictures Service who are having problems with the Gallery pics appearing. Well, as we can all see, this statement is totally incorrect. As I stated when I opened this thread, I had 17 auctions that Vendio launched for me last night and NONE of the Gallery images appeared last night or this morning..Here is what eBay is saying on their announcement: I spoke with eBay Live last night until past midnight and I was told if my pictures did not appear by the morning to END the auctions, request a credit for the listings and relist..of course not getting the same Penny Gallery listing price..I would have to pay full price for the listings. I'm getting disgusted with the entire process and the lack of accountability to their customers.<P>

Some members may have had their Gallery submissions fail for some listings when relisting or revising their items with pictures hosted by eBay Picture Services. We have corrected the issue, and all Gallery submissions are being processed correctly.

The members who were affected by this issue received an email letting them know their submission had failed. If you received such an email and are still not seeing your Gallery image on your listing, please follow these steps:

Click the "site map" link located at the top of most eBay pages
From the Site Map, click on the link in the center column labeled Fix My Gallery Image.
Once there, type in your item number and click "Revise Item."
On the following page, just scroll down the page and Click on the "Submit" button.
If you have not received a failure notice email from eBay but you are not yet seeing your Gallery picture, it is simply because Gallery can take several hours before it appears in Search and Listings.

Thank you for your patience.

Regards,
eBay

Oh, and one more thing while I'm venting...I tried the FIX THIS GALLERY PICTURE LINK last night when the eBay Live rep speaking with me. Guess what, it didn't work..when you clicked SUBMIT, it wouldn't submit..what appeared was a notice that said, "Undefined Error"

I would think that VENDIO is getting some compensation for using Ebay.
Since they are promoting various auction sites, it would only seem the fair thing to do.

Having said that; I think it is up to VENDIO to explore these problems.
Not ask their customers to do it for you.
We PAY YOU to do services for us.

You offer a great service in most respects, but I am frustrated with getting the same ole same ole.....We are not the technicians.

I know that when I eat in a restaurant, they don't expect me to cook my meal.
If it is not suitable, I get reimbursed for what was not edible.

Hi again!

I have been reading post after post at ebay and 1 member suggested to disable any no-pops or software that stops pop-ups while listing. I tried it just a bit ago and quess what...IT WORKED!!!! YEAH...I am seeing my gallery photos again! I am not for sure that it will help everyone who is having problems, but it worked for me...thanks to the seller who suggested it and no thanks to tech support...GO FIGURE!
