I have a newbie question about using the Post Sale Acceleration feature. It sounded like a great feature in the Sales Manager section. Vendio mentions copying a url into PayPals IPN setup in the instructions which sounds easy enough but I was also reading about it in the Customer Manager area and it said that you needed to change your email address at ebay and PayPal in order for it to work. Do I need to change my email address only if I'm using the Customer Manager feature with Post Sale Acceleration or do i also need to do it with sales manager.

Hello,
You have to have a verified PayPal account in order to activate notifications. Where were you reading about the email address needing to match? I am pretty sure the email address needs to be the same on ebay and Paypal -- I will have to doublecheck on this for you.

Thank you for a quick response! Maybe I didn't say clearly what I meant, I just wasn't sure if I had to change my email address with PayPal and eBay to [email protected] or not. I didn't see anywhere to setup any email options in sales manager and I got confused since the email part of vendio seems to be Customer manager and I'm not planning to use that service. I think I understand now that all Vendio is doing is getting info from the emails then forwarding them to me at my regular email address. Is this correct? I wanted to be sure before I change My email address with Ebay and PayPal. I think I understand the steps now that I read how to setup the post sale accelerator. If I mess it up I'll get back to you.

I hate to be a pest, but after following the steps 1 by 1 it seems that I DO NOT have to change my email address to use the post sale accelerator. I only have to turn on the IPN at PayPal and enter the url indicated in the Vendio instructions, "http://ipn.vendio.com/epurchaseit/paypal_ipn.cgi".
If I understand it correctly all Post Sale Accelerator is doing is recording the payment and shipping info and then allowing the next step in the process, the "Thank you for payment" email to automatically be sent.
The instructions aren't clear till you read them and walk through the steps few times. Evidently Vendio used to use the emails sent by PayPal and eBay to get info without having to poll ebay repeatedly for End of auction info, now that process must be automated
