Hi all, Happy Holidays to you and your families!. I just tried to pull an item up from the Archive/restore items list. It shows the last item dated as 12/10. I'm sure I have put some items in since that date. I always put items there after relisting them so I don't make a mistake and relist them twice. Two items relisted last night and they are not in the archives or closed or anywhere except active. Please check my archive list and see if in fact there are items archived after 12/10. Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve,

When you relist an item that is considered a true relist by eBay, the original will disappear from Closed listings. I did check your Restore list and saw that one that was archived on the 10th.

Hi Sonya, I'm afraid you lost me on that one. What I think you are saying is that if I relist an item and it is considered by ebay to be a "true relist" (I have no idea what exactly a TRUE relist is)then I couldn't have put it into archive because it wasn't in "closed" to begin with. But if it wasn't in "closed" then how could I have relisted it which I did last night! There is something wrong with that system. Every item should be available for archiving. From what you are saying (I think) it is an ebay problem not a Vendio. But either way it is wrong. If I want to relist an item that hasn't sold it should be available to me no matter what the circumstances. Please advise. Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve,

A true relist is a relist of an item that closed on eBay within the past 30 days, and is eligible for the refund of the ebay insertion fee if it sells. Those items do go into closed, but if you were to go relist it, once it launches then the original will disappear from closed. I hope this is a better explanation. You can probably use Track Other Listings to put the original back in Closed, and then go ahead and archive it.

Sonya

This is a flaw in the Vendio system that really needs to be fixed.
Once an item is marked for relist using Vendio (even if isn't yet launched on Ebay), Vendio clears the original counter and all evidence that the original Ebay item ever existed. It's gone from post-sale and all your post-sale info is lost forever (like buyer and payment information).
Impossible to get the info back by pulling the old item in from Ebay, impossible to archive it - it really puts a cramp on relying on Vendio as the basis of keeping accurate business records!

PLEASE FIX THIS!!

Hello,

I will forward your comments on to Product Development. You should be able to put the original back into closed by using Track Other Listings.

Thanks for the reply Sonya.

But relying on Track Other Listings still has these two major problems:
1. It's a MANUAL process and I have to do it one item at a time
2. I still cannot get back any of the Post-Sale data about the auction:
. buyer name & address
. payment method
. Hits & counter info

I appreciate your efforts to bring this deficiency to the attention of the Product Developers.

Hello,

If you had a winner, then the auction wouldn't have disappeared from closed when you relisted it. You would still be able to access it. A true relist by eBay does not have a winner.

Your comments have been noted.

Sonya
