I am trying to create a profile, as there is a paragraph that I add to each of my listings (store and auction)and do not want to have to type each time I create an inventory item. However, when I created a profile (I named it profile so that I would be able to locate it)and created an item under that profile, the word "Profile" is shown in my Vendio store as a category. I want to use a profile for each of my listings, but do not want the word to show up there. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for your help/input!!
I don't see anywhere in your inventory or store categories where you created something titled 'profile'. I do not see it in your store either. Please let us know exactly where to go, in order to see this.
If you just want to add a paragraph to show in all your auction listings, go to My Account > Custom Listing Text and add it there. It will automatically show up in any new listings you do. For stores, you'd need to add it in every inventory item if you are doing a fixed price store item for your Vendio store.

Hi Sonya! Thanks for such a fast reply. Once I realized that the word profile was showing up in my store under my category listings, I deleted it. The reason I want to add these particular phrases to my ads is because I place a "New in box" in red over the top of my description and also the retail price in red underneath my listing to try and show the value to my customers. The msrp is not the same for each of my items, therefore I want to have the option to change only the price for each listing that I make, if there is a way to do such a thing. If it would help, I can try to add the profile again.
Thanks!

Hi Rhonda,
Profiles only work for auction items, if you are doing this online. You will most likely have to add this text to every item in inventory you plan to place in your Vendio store. For auction items, you can create a general inventory entry, save it as a profile item, then when you start your listings from Sales Manager you can apply that profile to the listing so the text is there in your item description box.

Hi Sonja
I recently added 46 items to my store. They were all the same except for the name and picture.
I set up the first item and checked the Profile Item box in the top right corner of the item page. Then saved it, putting the item in my store.
For the second item, I went into Create Listing...My Store. On the first page under Apply Profile the first item was listed. I highlighted it and when I hit continue was taken to a duplicate of the first item.
On that item I unchecked the box, changed the name and pictures and saved. The second item was then in my inventory. Rhonda could do the same thing and just change what she needs to change.
I was one of the people who requested on the Wish List the ability to copy inventory items, but after finding this I don't think I need it.
