Let's keep the wish list going.

The Christmas wish list had lots of great ideas and I'm sure there's more great ideas out there.

Here's a link to the original thread:
http://www.vendio.com/mesg/read.html?num=15&thread=82514

I tried to compile all the wishes from the Christmas Wish list below.

The Original Christmas Wish List

1. The option of a WBN without a checkout link. A basic WBN email, no checkout, no links.

2. Instead manually entering each time for a batch how about a global setting that lets you launch auctions within the same batch 1 or 2 or 3 or even 5 minutes apart, rather than schuduling 705, 710 etc.

3. Automatic pay FIXED for BIN items

4. Place where customers can enter there credit card info securely

5. Remove The Track Items by clicking the link from the item shipped email

6. Customer's message from the checkout to show up on the invoice so that when packaging, if there are special directions they are right there on the invoice in black and white for me to see

7. Simpler Refund Process

8. Total at the bottom of the watch auctions page like andale does

9. On the watch auctions page it would be nice to see the high bidders name so you can tell if a bidder is bidding on multiple auctions.

10. Total at the bottom of the hits column on the active auctions page

11. Keep invoices for one buyer separate on the checkout link, unless seller combines them. They should not auto combine

12. Be able to tell instantly if there are bids on items. It would be great if once there was a bid, that total would be in bold figures

13. Ability to copy inventory items

14. Closed items sould go into a "sold" and "unsold" page to make it easier for relists

15. Remove the Vendio logo from the invoice

16. Search function in stores needs to support 3 letter words

17. Ability to change my user name to my store name

18. Ability to block deadbeats

19. For items not to show up as sold in stores when the credit card fails

20. Confirmation and tracking numbers (which are entered in post sale management) to carry through to the note to notify the buyer that their item has been shipped

21. When an item is relisted, do a COPY of the original (and its counter) so the original stays intact and can be archived

22. Add a cross-notation in both of the items ("relisted as <new item number>" or "relist of <old item number>"

23. Add some permanent notation to a listing for each email that was sent. Even better would be a date/time.

24. Add an option to send myself a copy of ALL EMAIL sent to my buyers through Vendio, not just a few of them like the WBN

25. Reports

26. Improve the inventory area

27. Ablity to organize photos in folders in Sales Manager

28. Shipping Calculator

29. Shipping Caluclator for UPS and fedex rate at Checkout

30. The ability to customize the export of postsale listings (as an excel/text delimited spreadsheet where I can choose the fields I need)

31. Some way for buyers to be forced to let me know in their first response to my WBN whether their shipping address is residence or business

32. Copy function for inventory items

33. Colored notation of those w/ bids, etc. and totalling of bid amounts

34. The box for the item description shouldn't have the words "The item description will be here" How about "The item description will be in the box below" above the box

35. Post Sales search by Bidder ID or searching by time frame, or partial string matches

36. Customizable interface. In my post sales, I use 1. WBN 3. mark paid and 6. item shipped. I also use 7 and 9 for feedback. It would be nice to only have checkboxes for these

37. Automated Non-Paying bidder alerts and final auction fee credits

38. Control over where the browser goes when signing into vendio

39. Downloadable desktop application that does everything I do on the Vendio website without having to wait for a website to respond

40. More intuitive interface

41. A "Select All" button control on the bulk mail screen of Customer Manager so we don't have to check off 60-70 or more bulk messages one by one to delete them

42. Shipping address exporter that will actually work with Fedex and the listings from SMP to go to the online inventory like it used to

43. Be able to log in to Vendio and STAY logged in

44. when we apply for credit from e-Bay for non-payers, Why could't we get it from Vendio at the same time???

45. Option of only accepting PayPal in the StoreFront Gallery

46. Foreign customers should be able to change the shipping amount manually

47. Ability to combine items manually

48. Take control of Sales Tax away from the customer

49. Calculated postage on First Class and International

50. Sub categories for store categories

I've been holding back since I've mentioned most of my wishes previously. but here's my Vendio-Wish-List-Manifesto (so far):

Sales Manager lacks consistency:
--------------------------------
There should be a 'Search' function for all areas: Active, Unsold, Archive, Forums, etc.. We should not have to manually sift through our data, there is no excuse for the lack of this functionality. We should also be able to search by 'user ID' in 'Post-Sale'.

The Key-Bar should be available in all 'Post-Sale' views. We should also be able to sort by Key-Bar steps in the main 'Post-Sale' view. I'd like to see a wide array of filter and sort and search functions.

There should be a filter for all post-sale steps. Many steps can not be sorted or viewed independently. This greatly reduces the functionality of the site and causes me a great deal of trouble. There is no way to filter steps 3 and 4, 5 and 6, and 1 and 2. The most problematic is steps 3 and 4. There is simply no way to tell which items have had postage printed in the 'Items to Ship' view.

Post-Sale fulfillment checklist behavior is inconsistent. Some steps are checked off when an email is sent, some emails are sent when a step is checked off, some of these options can be set, others can not.

There should be a record of every action taken in Post-Sale. Vendio Payment Reminder and WBN Reminder are examples of this.

Post-Sale email functionality is inconsistent. Some emails can be edited and saved before sending, others can't. WBN is CC'd, but all emails should be CC'd if desired.

I agree the WBN checkout-link should be optional. Personally, I believe 3rd party checkouts have been unsuccessful. I think the future lies in integration with eBay's checkout.

The email macros are inadequate, especially for multiple quantity fixed price items. There is no mention of the quantity in the WBN and no way to accurately communicate shipping charges for fixed price items won in multiple quantity. Combined items titles are run together on the same line (It looks sloppy). There's should be macros for the Bidder's first name, Bidder's full name, and Bidder's full address (for use in emails sent after step 2), and a macro for total (winning bid + shipping).

Vendio doesn't fully support FP:
--------------------------------

NPB and FVFC for Fixed-Price items needs to be added.

For multiple quantity fixed price items, the quantity won should be visible in all views. This is most problematic in 'Items to Ship' view.

Inventory:
----------
Vendio's Inventory is a tinker-toy compared to AuctionWorks. Here's some features I'd like to see:

Easier way to copy Inventory Items (perhaps changing SKU would create new entry).

Vendor field in Inventory

Edit Inventory Count and prices in bulk.

Separate field for eBay Stores price.

Inventory count sheet (to aid in doing a physical inventory).

More dynamic listing tools: macros for payment, TOS, shipping

Description HTML preview from inventory field

Repetitive launch interactive with relist from Unsold. Right now, repetitive launch is useless to me because I'll wind up with duplicate listings.

An "Always keep listed" feature.

Listed Inventory count broken down by Auctions, FP, and eBay Stores.

There needs to be an easier way to toggle settings (such as gallery, 10 day, etc) when listing.

There's still some PayPal IPN bugs:
-----------------------------------
Address Lines 1 and 2 from PayPal are converted to Address Line 1 in Vendio without a space.

Customer Comments from PayPal often contain important info, but they aren't imported to Vendio's Customer Comments.

For Canada addresses, the Province is sometimes not imported, and in other cases is imported, but disappears when "edit" is used.

IPN doesn't always work for combined items.

Advertisements:
---------------
I understand Vendio needs to advertise, but advertisement links do not belong in my work area:

'View Financial accounts', 'Print Postage', 'Insure Item' links have no function other than advertisement. Keep the ads where they belong.

There should only be 1 discreet Vendio ad inserted into auctions. If this was a free service I wouldn't mind all the Vendio pitches to my customers, but Vendio is far from free.

Flashing banners should be banned here, for the past 1/2 hour there's been a stupid green "WINNER" banner annoying me.

p.s. A 'Second-Chance' utility would be nice.

I'd sure go for a WBN with no checkout...

and a "save this to my inventory file" for batch lsiitngs on the desk top version....so if I wanted to, all listings could be saved.
