Will this work?
It's a bit detailed.
I had question posted last week concerning the posting of mixed auctions (mature and regular) from inventory at the same time without having to first launch regular auctions with the paypal payment option selected in global preferences, and then deselect the paypal option to launch the adult auctions so the paypal logo/info wouldn't be included.
I was doing some more research on this and came up with something that I might think work.
Can you please let me know if this might be the solution I am looking for.
What if in my global preferences I check the PAYPAL button as one of the payment types I accept, but below under ITEM LISTING OPTIONS I deselect "Insert list of payment types accepted in auction listing."
Now will this still enable the PAYPAL option of payment to appear in my Vendio checkout?
With these new preferences selected, my auctions will now not show what types of payments I accept...correct?
To solve this I will do a little write up under the CUSTOM PAYMENT METHODS....in it will include MONEY ORDER, BIDPAY, ETC..but I WILL NOT LIST PAYPAL in this section.
This way if I launch a mature auction I will not have to worry about ebay flagging it since the word paypal it in the auction.
Now I select the "Include only the PayPal logo in my listing" from Vendio's PAYMENT TYPES ACCEPTED to show that I do accept paypal since paypal will not be mentioned anywhere on any of my auctions.
Also, under MY EBAY Payment and Shipping Preferences from THE PAY NOW button I click the "Show Pay Now button for PayPal only" and from PAYPAL PREFERENCE on the same page I select both buttons of "Tell my buyers that I prefer PayPal payments" and "Offer PayPal on all my listings"
So if all goes well the paypal info will go automatically on all my auctions, except for the adult ones and I should be able to launch all my auctions at once now
Is this correct???
Will it work?
Thanks
PS under my preferences on the PAYPAL site I have AUTOMATIC LOGO INSERTION and EBAY PREFERRED PAYMENT buttons selected.
You are welcome to try this to see if it will work. Any mention of PayPal, as well as having it enabled as a payment option, will cause it to error. You have to have PayPal deselected regardless, or it will likely error out.
As a side note, I was just working with someone else running into this error trying to list adult items and we went to eBay to see if the same thing happened directly from their own listing form and it did. When asked why the eBay tech said he had no idea and that they would have to file a bug report to have it checked into further.
