For sake of this example, say I have 1 item available in my inventory.

When I create my inventory item first and then schedule a launch from the inventory item, the quantity available goes to 0 and the quantity On Auction goes to 1 in inventory and the listing shows in the Pending folder.

Now, if I use the Create Listing feature (which I like because I can use a Profile to create new listings) and put a check in the Save in Inventory box, the item is saved in the Pending folder and in Inventory but the Inventory shows the available qunantity is 1 and the On Auction is 0.

My question is, when the auction launches, will that change? Will Inventory then show a 0 in available and 1 in ON Auction?

Hello,

It will not change, because the 'save to inventory' feature within the create listing page only copies the listing to inventory. If you wanted it to read that there was a quantity of 1 at auction, you would have to start the listing through inventory.

Thanks for the quick answer, not the one I wanted to hear, but thanks anyway.

In order to use the profile feature I have to use the Create Listing because the profile feature doesn't work in inventory. So, what I'm doing is using the Create Listing and saving it to inventory but NOT scheduling the auction. Then I go to the Pending Listings and delete the auction listing. Then I go to Inventory, add the stuff I want to track like COST, and then I re-launch the auction. It's a lot of steps that aren't necessary if you would just add the use of the Profile feature in the inventory section.

Are there any future plans to better integrate the Inventory section with the rest of Sales Manager and especially with Sales Manager Pro? I'd love to be able to do everything in SM Pro and then just have it upload and download (synchronize) to the internet.
