When I signed up for Vendio a little over a year and a half ago, I had to sign up with MAILSTEP and change the following email adresses.

-my ebay email address
-my paypal email address (actually just added a new one to the existing one I had)

I notice now that new signups do not need to go thru this process now, so I would like to know every step required for me to drop this mailstep email address.

Can you please post a complete list of sections on ebay/vendio/paypal that have to be changed so i can go back to my regular email address.

These are the areas I am aware of..please let me know if this is all, or I need to make addtional changes:

*under GLOBAL PREFERENCES "Payment Types Accepted"

* under MY ACCOUNT POST SALE PREFERENCES.
Do I uncheck under WBN DISPLAY "Current Mailstep Users Only"?

*under VENDIO POST SALE ACCELARATION AND PAYPAL
I just enter the correct info on my paypal account correct?

Thanks

Hello,

Since the introduction of the IPN, it is no longer necessary to use Mailstep to track in your payments automatically in Post Sale. To change everything back, here is what you will need to do:

- log into your eBay account and change your email address for eBay (I am unfortunately not sure where to do this there, it should be in My Ebay > Preferences)
- log into your PayPal account -- if your PayPal primary email address is your mailstep ID, you can change it to a different email address. We recommend you keep mailstep on file as an email address in Paypal for the time being, in case you have customers send you payments to mailstep.
- In your PayPal account, set yourself up with the IPN. Here are the directions: http://www.vendio.com/promo/mailstep/ipn_tran.html
- In your Vendio account, go to Global Preferences and change your PayPal email address from Mailstep to one of the emails on file at PayPal
- In My Account > Post Sale Acceleration, deselect this option under WBN Display: "Generate WBN emails using your Post-Sale Acceleration email ID as the 'from' address" so that you do not have emails originate from your Mailstep ID. Also make sure you check off the three options under the PayPal tab.

You should then be set up correctly, but if you have any trouble please let us know.

Regards,

Sonya

Sonya
Thanks for your help.
Everything was done according to your above direcetions.

One more question though.

You said to make sure I check off the following 3 options under the Paypal Tab.

I just wanted to confirm something with you.

***Automatically apply the payment as a credit to the specified item or order #

WILL THIS STILL HAPPEN EVEN AFTER I CHECK IT OFF SINCE I NOW USE IPN?

****Automatically extract and store the Buyer's 'Ship To' address into the PostSale system (if the address is not already stored)

WILL THIS STILL HAPPEN EVEN AFTER I CHECK IT OFF SINCE I NOW USE IPN?

*** Enable PayPal Notification for items bought through Vendio Checkout

WILL THIS STILL HAPPEN EVEN AFTER I CHECK IT OFF SINCE I NOW USE IPN?

I just wanted to make sure
thanks again

Hello,

The answers to all of these questions is yes. Also, payments should record even if a customer uses the Send Money tab, as long as they are sending it to your email address, specify it's an auction, and specify the item ID number.

Sonya
