I save all of my pics between 300-500 pixels wide, depending on how they look, and I optimize them of course as much as I can and still have quality. Why do some appear as thumb size, and enlarge when clicked in auction, and some don't appear as thumb size in auction? When a pic is thumb sized, are they all the same thumb size, or are the originals just scaled down by a percentage, thus making some pics larger or smaller but still be called thumb size? Another thing, sometimes if I save a pic at 300 pixels, when I click to enlarge, they don't get any larger. That is why I started to go with 500 pixels sometimes. Really confused here, and yes my preferences are saved in global preferences to scale down, but something is amiss here.

We offer an image resizing feature that i think is throwing you off.
Here's more on that.
The "click to view larger version" option may be enabled or disabled by following these steps:
-Click on the "My Account" tab
-Click on the "Global Preference" link
-Check or uncheck the box for "Automatically scale down large images for faster download and cleaner presentation"
-Click "Save Preferences"
Please be aware that automatic resizing will -only- be activated if an image is over 250 pixels wide. If your image is 250 pixels wide or smaller, there will be no "click to view larger version" option on your auction listing.
Also note that you must copy and paste all of the code generated by our system into your auction if you are using image hosting only in order to take advantage of this feature.

I do have the right item checked to do thumbs, but it still isn't doing it on all pics. Are all thumbs the same size, or are some larger or smaller. Example...are all pics reduced to thumbs that are all 100 pixels, or do the size of the thumbs vary. If I have a pic that is 500 pixels wide, what would the thumb be? If the pic is 300 pixels wide, what would the thumb be. Lots of my pics are almost the same size from thumbs to when they are clicked to enlarge, and some are not. What would be a good size for me to save them as to have a nice thumb size. I do have some of them that are longer in size that they are wide, and some of these seem to have the most problem not shrinking to thumb size. Any ideas?
