If a customer does not use checkout but only pays through paypal will the payment ever get to me in post sale?
Is there a refresh that queries paypal?
Had another customer email me because of payment made and I didn't know about it.

You'll need to set up the PayPal IPN feature and then you'll need to have customers fill out the correct information in order for this to work.
In your previous situation, your customer probably didn't enter in all the information for your auction. This doesnt' allow our system to link the payment to your item.
(NOTE: PayPal Notifications that are not associated with an item ID cannot be automatically processed)
