I use Sales Manager Pro and have never used the inventory feature however I am going to start using it since I might open an eBay store.
So question is....if I already have my repetitive TOS wording in my Sales Manager Pro, and I fill in the same words in Profile section of inventory, will those words show up twice if I decide to put item up for auction? Or should I just not fill Profile in?
I hope this makes sense to you!!
I apologize - I'm having a hard time envisioning the workflow you want to use. Can you tell us if you're planning to use the inventory feature in Pro, or online? Please outline your workflow process a little, and we'll do our best to help.
Well, so far I always write up my eBay auctions in Sales Manager Pro and have never put the items into inventory on Vendio.
I already have my pre typed auction info like terms of sale, etc. in my Vendio/eBay Preferences so that info goes right onto my auctions every time.
I am thinking of opening either an eBay store or possibly a Vendio store plus still do ebay auctions. So, wouldn't I be better off to put all of my items into Vendio inventory and then go from there as to where I will place each item?
I have some auctions that ended that didn't sell so i want to place them in my store (when I get one.) I am thinking that if I had of put them in inventory to start with, it'd be much easier to relist to my store.
I happened to see the "profile* option in Vendio's inventory and that is what I am concerned about.
Maybe just tell me what would go in that profile. Would I put my terms of sale, etc in there even though I already have them saved in my preferences?
Thanks for the clarification (and sorry about my reading comprehension difficulty!)
If you are going to be listing the same item to multiple venues, yes - you would be better off creating your items in inventory.
A profile will apply all information that you enter in it to a new listing. Any information available for entry in an inventory item will overwrite default values stored in preferences - however, the default text fields are not available to be stored individually. This information is pulled from preferences and will be applied to all items on launch.
As for your items that sold, you will still be able to save them as inventory items. Just click to relist, then edit the relist and click the "save to inventory" option on the create listing form. Save the listing, and then cancel the relist, and your items will be saved in inventory.
I hope this helps - please let us know if you have any other questions.
