Thanks so much Jamie for taking the time to respond to me in such detail! This shipping thing is driving me crazy! I am also on the East coast. I just feel quilty if I overcharge for postage, but already I've lost money not charging enough for postage!
I am retired from the USPS (3 yrs) and am now just finding out all these new services they are offering. I'd better check the their website from time to time. I just started doing eBay again a few months ago.
They have this program you can download called "click-n-ship". I think it is the same one you mentioned "shipping assistant"? Anyway, you can also print postage with it and pay by credit card. I don't think there is a monthly fee to use it so wouldn't that be better than Stamps.Com?
I have never printed a label before so I am going to have to practice that. Do you just set the printer for labels? I saw one eBay seller (discountandshippinglabelsupply) that has labels for $4.99 for 3200 labels (1600 sheets). There are two on a sheet. Hopefully I will be able to figure it out.
