I have posted this before.
Some of my status boxes on my fulfillment checklist are not being automatically checked after completing that step. Specifically 3,6,8 and sometimes 9.
I've noticed that when I use the edit feature and then click "send now" from the edit window my boxes do not get checked.
With step 3, it will only automatically mark for PayPal payments when you have the IPN enabled (and any pending status for the payment has cleared.)
Step 6 will be checked when you click to either send the shipment notification email (the page will refresh, indicate the notice has been sent, and show this step completed. Otherwise, you would need to manually check the box itself to just mark it complete without actually sending the notice.
For feedback received we will conitinue to monitor for cases where it was not recorded when left, thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I've had boxes not show as checked immediately after performing a task as well. First try "refresh" on your browser (click 'yes' if you get a box asking to resend info). In most cases you'll see the box checked.
