Does Sales Manager now support "second chance offer" (SCO)? Great help to streamline transaction process if SCO can be offered via Vendio?

Also at Post Sale, when filing for Final Value Fee from eBay, a commonly used option-mutual release, is not available, please add this option.

Thanks for your attention.

Hello,

Unfortunately we do not yet support the listing of Second Chance offers. They must be made directly on eBay. You can use "Import My Listings" in Sales Manager to import the second chance listing, but this will only work before your customer purchases the item. If the item has been purchased already, unfortunately there is no way to track the item in and retain post-sale functionality.

Thank you for your suggestion regarding the FVF category for Post Sale, I will log it on your behalf.

Regards,

Sonya

Thanks for the tip, have imported several "second chance offer", no problem. When the items were sold, listing move from active auction to post sale and winning bidder notice can be sent, although manually.

There is plenty of time to import and they can be imported immedialy after the "second chance offer" is made and it is almost impossible the buyer will have already taken it down.

However, here is the unexpected problem:

While the buyer can go to checkout via the link sent via email, the buyer can not checkout by clicking on the checkout button in the listing of the "second chance offer" which after buyer put in the correct email address, shows a different auction listing ID than that of the "second chance offer", it still shows the ID of the original listing. This has caused confusions to a couple of buyers so far as buyer do to to "checkout" immediately quite often and click on the checkout.

Is this fixable?

Hello,

Unfortunately that link only changes when a listing is submitted or resubmitted directly on Vendio. You can edit the description when relisting on eBay -- what I would suggest is looking for the HTML that displays the WBN link, and replace it with this one instead:

http://www.vendio.com/checkout.x

This is our static checkout URL, which can be used to get to any checkout.

I hope this helps.

Sonya

Unfortunately, per ebay rule, "second chance offer" must have the exact same descritpion and editing description of "second chance offer" is impossible.

BTW: I have decided to remove checkout button for good. Just got another complaining email:

"dear sirs please give e-mail address so i can
pay or i become crazy with
checkouts!!! best wishes, fosco.

On the side: I feel also it is not the smart design by asking buyer to use email address to verify as freqently people change email address. It will be total mess whever a buyer has changed email address after the WBN is sent. Buyers get mad. Do you expect them to know all the Vendio tricks?

Also, checkout fixed message is apparently written by someone who probably never sells, stupid at least, causing confusion many times to buyers.

Not sure if Vendio if short-staffed but it is apparent it is very slow for Vendio to make some minute changes.

Made three "second chance offers" in the last three days, drives three buyers CRAZY!

Besides the confusion they can not checkout at the auction page by clicking on the "checkout button", here is an example, second chance offer is:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewItem&item=3822895442

Auction number is 3822895442, when the checkout button at this auction page is clicked, it shows another auction number.

Well, if this not enough to drive them crazy, here is something extra to send them to the edge of being crazed: auction was successfully imported before it was taken down and moved perfectly from active to sold auctions, WBN manually sent to them, all them intended to pay via Paypal, guess what, paypal payment option is lost in all three checkout, is it simply lost! Spent two hours with these three people, one Italian with broken English, finally found out why: before WBN is to be manually sent, WBN needs to be edited by checking the Paypal box which mysteriously became uncheked.

Vendio, another finding for you, free of charge.

Hello,

That is one issue with importing -- you have to edit the WBN prior to sending it out or sending people the static checkout link. The payment choices and shipping choices you prefer must be chosen after you import. You can do this while the items are live as well -- click on the Active link, select those you imported, and click Set WBN. Then for each auction, select one and click on Edit WBN to add in your preferences.

I apologize for not mentioning this before hand.

Sonya

Thanks.

No offense intended, just tired. For static checkout, I would choose not to use it simply becuase it may cause another confusion to those who have changed email address between the time WBN was sent and the time of completing checkout. The purpose of checkout is to automate the process, any such delay means several rounds of extra email and upset or even angry buyers.

Thanks for telling me the WBN for second chance offer needes to be edited before being sent out and I just noticed it also as I was involved in another round of email exchange with the buyer who bought via "second chance offer' and told me the shipping rate has changed too. I found out it is reset to default. So, PayPal, shipping and maybe other things need to be looked at before sending it out.

Thank you Sonya for your patience too.
