Hi everyone out there, this thread is for Vendio custmes as well as the Vendio staff. I need some help on getting information on insuring postal packages from France for breakage. The French system only allows for lost packages and not breakage. In over 4000 shipments I have had luckily only a few breakages and if the customer insured the package I have made it good out of my own pocket. Fortunately none were all that expensive. But I'm into some fairly high ticket items now and it scares me that no matter how well I pack, something may get tossed or crushed and break.Would appreciate if anyone knows of a better way to ship or a private insurer that would handle something like this. Fedex and UPS are too costly to ship by from France, so ideally if I could get private insurance and still ship by mail it would be great. Thanks in advance. Steve
Unfortunately I don't know of any private insurers, but I wanted to respond to you and let you know that once you find one that is suitable to your needs, you can set up a customizable insurance rate in Global Preferences.

Hi Sonya, thanks for that info. Now all I need to do is find an insurer. If you check out my listings you will see one on there that has me nervous. If that ever arrives broken without insurance I'm dead in the water! Steve
