Hello
I created several listings in Sales Manager Pro before the re structuring of the Pottery & Glass category. I waited for it to be established and now that I have gone into each one of them and assigned the correct category I am getting an error while trying to list. Here is an example of an error. Although some listed fine others didn't. Please check my pending list to see what I mean.
"Error 5112: Attribute Set Id does not match category.
Attribute Set Id "1272" does not match category you have entered. No VCS for primary category. No VCS for secondary category. Attribute System Version 2683.
Note: this error may be related to the Item Specifics content you entered. Please review content in 'other' fields in the Item Specifics section for validity and number of characters."

Hello,

This is a glitch from switching back to the old system for the Pottery and Glass category. Click to edit the item in question, then click to edit the category.
Simply continue back to the listing page and resubmit your item. Editing the category, even without making any changes, should allow the item to list without the 5112 error.

Christopher

I"m getting a similar error, and have changed the category for the sake of changing the category... now what:

The venue ebay has possibly returned the following message:

Error 5112: Attribute Set Id does not match category.
Attribute Set Id "1272" does not match category you have entered. No VCS for primary category. No VCS for secondary category. Attribute System Version 2683.
Note: this error may be related to the Item Specifics content you entered. Please review content in 'other' fields in the Item Specifics section for validity and number of characters.
If this message indicates you must "put a credit card on file", please click here to verify your ebay account is up to date.
If this message indicates "failed in payment methods", please click here and select at least one payment type
If this appears to be a problem related to ebay, please check here

I might note several of my auctions had this error that I noticed yesterday, but the one auction I left showing the error is the only one I tried to launch... will I have this error with all the others as well???? The clothing auctions you can see, I prepared this weekend so they haven't been attempted to be listed yet, but I'm just sitting here thinking and wondering about all the others in the pottery/glassware section that I did fix the category on and they still didn't launch last Sunday..... Just more info for you to help me on please...... please help me!

Hi there,

I was able to do an eBay preview on the listing that had the error, and this means the item *should* launch - however, as this is an attributes related error I'm not 100% positive on that point. The only way I could test this is to try launching it from your account (let me know if it's OK to do this - if not, let us know if it errors again and whether the listing was created new or is a relist. )

Thanks,

Diana

I have also received these errors when relisting items that were affected by the Pottery Category change. The only way I have been able to successful is this:

As soon the status changes to Processing, you should see an option to "copy" the listing. Select Copy, but don't launch it. Wait until the item errors out. Then go in and send the copy. I have a feeling that this may change the status on the eBay side for refunding of a relisted item it it sells the second time around within a 30 day period

Hello,

There is a workaround for Error 5112 that will still send the item as a relist so you don't have to worry about clicking the copy links. Edit the pending (or relisted) listing, and click to edit the category from the create listing form. From the category page, select "continue". You can check to make sure this worked by clicking the eBay Preview button -- if it previews properly you can submit the item.

Regards,

Sonya
