Where to begin? Quite honestly, I used to use AW without a care in the world. It has been a while since I have listed anything and this is driving me nuts. I hope you can help.
1 - Is the picture at the top of the eBay auction that has a Go to Larger Picture what they now call the "Picture Preview"? If so how come everytime I set my eBay preferences in Vendio to use the "1st Listing Image", it always has the picture from the last auction I TRYED to list in the box? I notice Vendio words it as "Select an image that will appear in ALL your eBay listings" WHAT? I don't want a logo - I don't want the same picture on ALL my listings. I want the 1st image from each auction to end up as the preview for THAT auction.
2 - DONT WANT ANY POST SALE AT ALL - NO WBNs - NO CHECKOUT - NO NOTHING from Vendio sent to me or to my customers anytime - never - not before, during or after the auction. I feel that I pay Vendio for a service and it truly is not my job to advertise for you. How in the world do I make ABSOLUTE CERTAIN that this will not happen b/4 having to set WBN on active auctions?
3 - All this being said - where do I put my shipping information? I am scared to death that if I put anything at all under the POST SALE ACCELERATION portion of the listing page, that I will have to worry about Vendios post sale stuff. I don't know whether to put it under eBay shipping either. Insurance is different depending on how much the item sells for and Inernational shipping is more that US shipping. Where do I account for these differences?
4 - Why is my email and "receive notifications" (from Vendio) listed beside Paypal accepted under the Payment Types Accepted portion of the listing page? I want to accept Paypal but I don't want to receive notifactions from anyone.
5 - If I put text into the payment instructions box where exactly will it end up on my auction? It doesn't seem to be showing on the eBay preview?
It seems to me that there is very little if any way to avoid Vendio Checkout and Post Sale. Is this the case now?
I do apologize for the lengthy post. I have been days trying to figure all of this out. I really hate to have to spend days more trying to figure out a way to sell a few postcards on eBay without listing through Vendio. It used to be so easy. I never could have dreamed it could now be so hard.
I sure do wish Vendio would get back to the business of being the best auction listing service in the world and let eBay and Paypal handle all the Post Sale Stuff.
BTW while I'm on a roll - we don't want to advertise for Vendio we just want to sell stuff on eBay. The Supersized Pictures aren't really free are they - everytime you click to look at one you are bombarded with a flashing tacky Vendio ad right at the top of your picture. It's beginning to feel alot like YOU should be paying us. Post Sale Management and WBNs aren't really there to help us either are they? It's just more advertisement for Vendio.
Please just do what you do best and give us a place to list our auctions - just that - nothing more.
1. The image that appears there in eBay Site Specifics is just a default, sample image (for the first image in an auction). As long as you select that option, whatever image you attach first will appear as the Photo Preview image.
2. If you want to make absolutely certain you don't have the WBN going out or Checkout being inserted, please go to My Account > Post Sale Mgt. Options and make sure you have auto WBN and the Vendio Checkout options deselected. Make sure you've got all options for the Post Sale Messages deselected as well (these are the reminders and notifications).
3. If you are using eBay Checkout then you can put your default shipping for eBay Checkout in My Account > eBay Site Specifics. If you don't want to be using Vendio Post Sale and Checkout then you can basically ignore the Post Sale Acceleration section.
4. The email address showing is what you stored in Global Preferences as your PayPal email addrress. 'Receive Notifications' is just an option, if you were to click on it it would take you to the Post Sale Acceleration page and instruct you on how to do it. The mention of it in Features next to your PayPal email address does not do anything.
5. There is a section at the bottom of your listings when an auction is live called 'Shipping and Payment Details'. This is for eBay Checkout so it does not appear when you do an eBay Preview. The text you put in the payment instructions box will appear there when your auction is live.

No, this is not the case. If you don't want to use it then you don't have to -- I've outlined what to do in step 2, if after you do this you want to make sure it's not on, let me know and I'll check your settings. You can turn on Post Sale and Checkout during the Create Listing process so be sure you check your pending listings to make sure you didn't inadvertantly turn something on that you don't want on. We have an Annual Listing Plan that does not include Post Sale or Checkout which you can sign up for if you want to block access to it.
