I did not download or update a single thing. I could not access Vendio all day until 8 pm through MSN. I did not change a thing and then I could access it again. What happened?

This and the previous post are the only two reports of this type of occurances. Are you sure nothing was changed on the system/computer when you weren't around? Maybe an automatic windows updater? An anti-virus checker?

I had the same problem. No virus or anything. It was AOL, they are the problem as they hacked Vendio from what my computer genius says

Yes, It DISAPPEARED again. No, there was not a virus problem and I could not access it through IE either. Then after 1/2 hour it reappeared. No virus download, or any other download.

Darin: There appear to be many of us who had the same problem. You may not have heard about it because - ta da - we couldn't get to Vendio to report it! In desperation we were looking at Ebay message boards and e-mailing each other privately to ask what could have happened.

I have Netscape, and it was all day Sunday that I couldn't access Vendio. You had a bigger problem than some of you may be aware of, and it would be WONDERFUL if Vendio could post an announcement as to what happened. This was widespread, not confined to just a few of us. ~Adele

Hi everybody,

It appears that the problems some of you experienced yesterday accessing our website may have been caused in part by scheduled maintenance that was done by one of our network providers. Apparently, the maintenance that was performed triggered unexpected side-effects that were outside the realm of our system's ability to detect (we were not alerted to the problem as we would have been under normal circumstances. ) We do apologize for any inconvenience.

This problem was corrected as of about 7 pm on Sunday. You should no longer be having trouble accessing our site, so if you continue to have trouble please try clearing your browser cache and restarting your computer.

Thanks,

Diana

I use Webtv and have to use MSN. I could not access Vendio and my pictures were not on my auctions......3 calls to webtv customer service finally produced a half-way knowledgeable person who said the last update from MSN (last week) had glitches that were causing problems from users not getting email to not being able to access ebay. He said some situations would take up to a week to fix. He didn't seem to understand my frustration. Makes me very leery of a future update.........

I still can't access Vendio through one of my computers and haven't been able to since yesterday though I can get to all other sites with no problem. I have Windows98ME IE6.

I have no trouble accessing Vendio with the other computer I'm on now. Trouble is, all my pics are on the computer that I am unable to access Vendio with.

Hello kiara,

What are the differences between the two computer systems? Are they both using the same ISP, browser, operating system, or are there differences in the setup?

Thanks,

Diana

Hello Diana,

The computer I can't access Vendio with has Windows98ME/IE6 but I can access all other sites with no problems. My other computer that does access Vendio is Windows98/IE6. So both computers are very similar. Both are using the same ISP and are connected with a modem.

I did try to access Vendio through Netscape but that doesn't work either. I cleared the cache, rebooted, disconnected the modem from both computers and reconnected and I ran two separate virus scans and also Spybot and checked my Zone Alarm settings and there don't seem to be any problems, only that I am unable to access Vendio with the one.

Hello,

Do you have any firewalls on that one computer you can't reach your Vendio account on, or just Zone Alarm? Did you allow access to Vendio in your Zone Alarm? Since you are using the same ISP, it's most likely something with your computer setup. Also, I'd like to clarify something with you -- you mention the setup that can't access Vendio is Windows 98 ME. Do you mean Windows 98, or Windows ME (aka Windows 2000)?

Regards,

Sonya

I had this same problem all day Sunday 8/15.
Could not access Vendio website, or synchronize through Sales Manager Pro.
Vendio can't tell me they were not aware of it. There was not a single Vendio photo showing up on ebay. It was real simple to research. All I had to do was go to ebay, type in "Vendio", and click on "search title and description. There were over 400000 auctions hosted by Vendio. Every auction that I clicked on would not display photos. This was not a "my computer thing". I have friends and family in other states that could not display Vendio photos as well. It would be nice if Vendio would tell us what really happened.

Hello,

Please refer to the post above by Diana for an explanation of the problem. If you are still experiencing trouble with site access, please let us know.

I also deleted your other topic on this issue, since I am answering you in this thread.
