My Mac ibook G4 will Not delete any of my stored photos. I am using Explorer 5.2, I have moved my photos to a new folder, checked the boxes, clicked delete and the same page returns with my photos still attached. How do I get rid of these???!!!
Thanks,
Diana

Well I switched over to Netscape and now it works. However I would still like to know why I can't use my Explorer as I did before you changed to this new system.
Thanks

Hello,

Do you have a pop up blocker installed? A pop up window asking you if you are sure you want to delete should come up.

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Sonya, Thanks for getting back to me! No I don't have any pop-up blocker on my mac!

Now my next problem is, I cannot attach my photos using Netscape! My listing is all typed and I did the first part of attaching the photos to my listing, but when I clicked the "attach" button, nothing happens!!

This is soooo frustrating!! Do you have any ideas? Now I am going to try to attach my photos to my saved listing using Explorer. I hope I don't have to continue listing like this!

Diana,

We'll get on it and see if we can't figure out what the problem may be.

I'm a Mac user at home, and for as far back as I can remember, Microsoft's Internet Explorer for the MacOS has had really poor javascript implementation. The latest version for the Mac is 5.2 while it's 6.0 for Windows.

Until we can get this fixed, my personal recomendation would be to use Apple's Safari browser or Mozilla's Firefox. They're both great browsers and I use 'em all the time at home.

Hi Sonya, Well I just tried to attach photos with Explorer to my new listing which I have saved into pending auctions so that I can start it tonight, and nothing happened. So now I cannot add my images using either Netscape or Explorer! Now what di I do??

Hi Christian!

I have been using Safari. Safari uses Netscape! It doesn't work either!! I just tried making a copy of one of my existing auctions to use it, and that didn't work either!! So as of now, I am unable to use this new system!!! Please find the bugs!!

Thanks for taking the time to check into this!!!

Hi mmtaylor,

There does seem to be a bug with IE5. What's supposed to happen is that a popup appears asking you to confirm the deletion. But this popup is not working correctly on IE5. Our engineers are looking into this issue now.

As for your problem attaching an image to a listing, this is a separate issue we have discovered and are working on. Our engineers are working now on the fix and we hope to issue it shortly.

We think the attaching problem is happening when you are leaving the page to do something else, like upload images, then coming back.

Please try this workaround for now: before leaving the Create Listing page to do something else, try clicking the Save button first. It seems to work for other people.

We'll update you again when fixes are released.

Yours,

Chuck

Hi Chuck,

I have tried the work around and it didn't work either. I Thank You for suggesting this and I have my auction listing saved so that hopefully in a few hours when I check back in, I will be able to use this system. Thanks again for trying to get this fixed!
