Hi Guys, I find it very annoying to have to edit each and every relist that is going on for the 2nd or 3rd time. Each time I try to relist, the auction reverts back to the text of the 1st original auction without any corrections I might have made in newer relists. Isn't there anyway that you can set it up so that the text and pictures in a relist would show the last time the auction was listed instead of the first time. You all know me for along time now and very rarely do you hear a complaint from me. But this is one time I feel justified. Please advise. Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve,

If you made the corrections after the auctions were launched (made them in eBay using the Revise Your Item form), you will still need to edit the relists through Vendio. Unfortunately those changes don't carry over to the Vendio form when you do a relist. If this doesn't apply to you, please let me know the steps you take for a relist so I can research this further.

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Sonya, no these were not revisions done in ebay. These were relists done in Vendio. If an item doesn't sell I would usually tweak it either with new pics or changing the text around a bit to make it more interesting. If it didn't sell again and I would try to relist then it reverts right back to the original auction wiping out all the changes I made. This has happened from day one 4 years ago when I first joined Auctionwatch. If no one else is having this problem than obviously I'm doing something wrong and need to know what - so I can correct it. It is a pain to have to re edit every time I relist an auction. Of course if they would all sell the first time around I wouldn't have to worry about this. But who is that lucky? Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve,

Do you have any examples available? Item numbers will do. Please also let us know the steps you go through to relist so we can examine that and determine if there is something being missed, or if there is a unique problem on our end related to your account.

Regards,

Sonya

Hi, all of my relists are relisted so there is really nothing that I can send you. Except all 27 auctions I have on right now are relists if you want to look at one of those. Most of them have been tweaked in one way or another. Either with lowering a price - new pics - or changing text. My method is the way it looks on your site. I click on th esmall box on the left of an auction. Go down to the bottom and click relist. Click edit and then go in and make my changes - click save - set the date and time and then relist. I don't know of any other way to do it. Thanks, Steve

Wow, this always happens to me, I just assumed that was the way Vendio worked and everyone accepted it.

I have to agree that it is very inconvenient to edit an auction before relist, and then have to remember to reapply the edits if I need to list it yet again. It's extra work to remember if a change was made, and it is embarassing (or perhaps even costly) if I forget to reapply a correction to the item description.

This just happened for the first time tonight with one of my auctions. I thought I was losing my mind there for a second. It's comforting to know I'm not alone.

Hi Sonya, there you go. per the attached new posts this obviously is not a problem relating only to me. So, now that you are aware of it , is there anything we can do about it. As gaugagaug said it is difficult to rememeber each and every auction that had changes made to it. So, that means if I'm relisting 27 auctions as I did the other night I have to go in and edit every single one to make sure that if in fact there were any corrections made last time that they have to be made again because they won't be there this time around. Got to be an easier and less time consuming way. Please look into this. Thanks, Steve. P.S. Thanks for the kind thoughts on my place in FL

Hello,

Thanks everyone for your input. If you relist an auction in Vendio and you edit it, and save your edits, the relist will launch with your edits. If that one closes and you edit that relisted item, it should contain your new edits -- not revert back to the original text. If this is happening to you, please let me know the item number of the original auction, the item number of the relist of that auction, and the item number of the relist of the relist of that original auction. We will then be able to investigate what is happening here.

Regards,

Sonya
