Here I go again. I backed down for a while but I am really getting angry customers trying to check out and can't. I know it's perhaps lack of computer skills, but this should be easy, eBay easy... agree?
I will post again all the complaints I get. I encourage all to post their customer complaints in this thread, I can see it growing quickly. Remember we pay VENDIO fees to make our lives easy!!
"I give up trying to access your checkout. So you can keep your bowl.
John" (item #3749055171)
"Hi, Why is it charging me sales tax? It says shipping is 6.50, but when I go to check out, it has sales tax added. Help!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Kathy" (item#6120706541)
We are sorry to hear you have customers experiencing problems with checkout. Regarding 3749055171, did this customer tell you what problems they had with checkout? Regarding 6120706541, most of the PSM steps have been completed and I didn't see sales tax applying to the item. I see you have eBay's checkout enabled for this, with sales tax entered, are you certain it was Vendio Checkout they were going through or was it eBay Checkout?

I appreciate your reply, but angry customers really don't want to be quizzed. I try to solve their problems the best I can but really can't go back and ask them why they had problems and explain in detail.
Some more complaints...
"I tried to check out using your Vendio site, but the site was extremely confusing to me. I can't tell if I checked out correctly or not b/c it wouldn't let me choose a payment method...I use paypal, but if it's another method you need to tell me what payment method I'm doing and where to send the $00.00 as soon as possible"
"Hi, I've made several attempts to pay for this item using your checkout system. Each time I enter my e-mail address in the space provided, a wondow comes up prompting me to "provide information required". Obviously there is some problem with the system. So, I can go directly to PayPal and make the payment the old fashioned way or maybe you have some other suggestion. Is your PayPal ID the same as your e-mail adress? Please provide me with exactly how to go about paying"

Another one today...
item number 3750555861
"Hi AGAIN, I just tried your check out system again and this time it worked UNTIL it got to the last page in which tax was added and I couldn't remove it. I don't live in Texas. I'll try just one more time to pay for this auction".

Hi charlotts,
I've taken a look, and noted the following:
For item 3750689594 - this item did not have Paypal entered as a payment option. If you uncheck steps 1 and 2, then click "edit WBN" you will see that the only payment option checked is "Others". This is why your buyer was unable to pay via Paypal.
For item 3750555861 - I'm not sure what happened here, but it sounds like your buyer was maybe entering an email address other than the one linked to their ebay ID. The checkout process cannot be started without the buyer entering their eBay email address.
For item 3750555861 - I suspect the issue here is that the buyer entered the sales tax and then after submitting the form realized the mistake (once the form is submitted, you cannot go back and make corrections.) Sales tax is never pre-set, the buyer has to select the tax amount manually.
I hope this will help. We are currently working on a more streamlined checkout system, however, there are many different unrelated issues that can affect the checkout system. Honestly, I don't know of any system that is 100% foolproof but we will do our best to try to eliminate some of these issues.

I agree 100% about the checkout process, and the biggest issue people ( customers) have with vendio checkout is when auction is over Vendio needs about a 1 or 2 to update with new auction info so when customers try to checkout right after the auction ended Vendio does not accept their email simply because the auction info is not there.

Ebay custoomers rarely use my Checkout. And if they enter the cc info wrong, they cannot reaccess the page, or so they tell me.

More complaints...(please don't ask me to ask my customer if they did this or that. They are already angry enough without me interrogating them)
Item # 6126349939
"I am not filling that stupid thing again I did it 4 times that enough I am going thru Pay Pal and it that does'nt work too darn bad Maureen"
Item #6126149392
"Good afternoon:
I tried to pay by your checkout menu; however, the amount owed was DOUBLED. I am willing to pay for the auction sale price, plus shipping and insurance, but I will not pay the $58+ that is being charged in your checkout menu.
Please advise.

We are sorry to hear you are experiencing troubles with your Checkout. The first item, it sounds like your customer just doesn't want to fill out the form. If she didn't state what the problem was, or if you don't want to ask her, there is not much else we can do.
Regarding the second item, I went to the checkout for it and did not see the amount doubled so it appears to be a problem on your buyer's end.
I've got a message from a buyer for my auction (#6334711293). He says:
"Hey hawk girl I have a question on my bill for the Jordan poster. There is a $1.81 charge on there for tax and this is not on the sales page listed on ebay. It said there is only a sales charge for Kansas residents. Can you clear this up. Thanks. -Kyle"
Are all my customers getting sales tax added to their Vendio checkout?
I see that they are. Should I go back and change all the sold auctions and apply a credit to their total in order to reverse the tax charge. Why is it 6% and not my state percentage?
The tax amount is to be specified by the buyer per directions you have put in your tax directions box. Most likely what is happened is your buyer put a number in the tax field -- you can correct this by deselecting step 2, going in to edit the buyer's checkout and zeroing out the tax.
