Im in a snag- I have not used my Auction Watch/Vendio service to list my auctions for a couple years.
My old payment instructions are embeded into my listings- I can't figure out how to remove them!
I imput/type new payent instructions, hit the preview button to check the look of my listing- the preview pops up- and both the new and old (embeded) payment instructions are included.

I have the same problem. I tried your solution but it DOES NOT WORK. My old instructions are still embedded also.

Your embedded payment instructions etc are found in "My Account"->"Auction Preferences"->Ebay site speifics

Thanks anyway, Neglus, but the old info. keeps appearing, even though my current specs. are correct. I've tried Global settings, eBay site settings, and Custom all to no avail. I've now unclicked my "show pmt. info." button but that didn't help, either.
A long time ago I had a freeb trial of the former AW/now Vendio storefront. I wonder if the info. is embedded through that? I no longer have the store, the free trial has expired, so now I can't access any info via storefront.
I haven't uploaded any auctions because I'm afraid of having this erroneous shipping info. show up. I may just have to cancel my Vendio and go with someone else, but I would rather keep Vendio if I could get this resolved.

OK, Christopher, here goes...
On the Global page, under these sections, I have selected/inserted the following:
PAYMENT TYPES ACCEPTED
Traditional Methods
Money Order
Other
Custom Payment Note:
Full payment (in U.S.Dollars only) must reach me within 14 days.
If you prefer to mail cash, that's fine with me but understand that it is at your own risk, so please: A) carefully wrap the cash up in a sheet of paper before placing it inside the envelope, B) seal the envelope well, and C) double check that my name, address, and proper postage is on the envelope. I will not be responsible for any portion of your lost cash before I get it. I will notify you shortly after and if it does arrive, however.
Thank you!
ITEM LISTING OPTIONS
Insert list of payment types accepted in auction listing.
Display Shipping and Handling options and Custom Shipping Note in listing.
____________________________________________
Then...
This is what keeps appearing on my template previews under the section called "SHIPPING & HANDLING:"
Postal insurance (required) and my handling fee for packaging costs is included in the calculated postage amount.
$2.00 USPS First Class <<<<<THIS IS WHAT SHOULD NOT APPEAR ANYWHERE!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thank you in advance for (hopefully) tracking down whatever is causing this to happen. If it is me, please tell me what to do to correct it, IN DETAIL. Thanks!
If it is a bug in Vendio, please try to resolve ASAP. Again, thank you.
Hello Linda,
You are viewing the generic data used in the template preview window. This is not what will actually appear in your ads and is there only as a guide for template design/layout.
When you list your items and do an actual preview with your own data, you will see your own text/settings appear instead.
THANK YOU, CHRISTOPHER!
I am so relieved. I have begun uploading my listings. I did one as a test and sure enough, my info showed up just fine.
I wonder if an improvement to the Template Workshop could be made, to prevent anyone else from going through this confusion in the future? Perhaps Vendio could add an explanatory note on/near the template preview, -OR- somehow get the client's actual data inserted into their preview, instead of that generic stuff. I spent hours trying to "fix" my template, unnecessarily. I really don't have spare hours for this kind of thing, and I'm sure most other folks don't either. Don't take this as a rant, I just hope Vendio will continue with their superior customer service!
Thank you, again,
Linda
(Edited to correct spelling. Hope I got it all?)
