Who has made the switch? What do you think of it? I tried it and tinkered with it all day yesterday and although some of the features are great some others just didnt work at all. The relisting was a pain and sometimes it didnt work at all. I am interested to hear what others have to say...

ninerfanzz,
I have someone reviewing your account to see what may be causing relisting difficulties. I successfully relisted an item from many months ago that I imported when I switched to SMIE, so we're working to isolate what caused yours to fail.
splashpage,
There are a couple of ways to launch items in SMIE, including one that's pretty much as simple as your request. Click the checkbox next to an item (or select several items if you wish) and click the launch button above the list of items. On the following screen, if you want to launch immediately, just click the launch button. You can also type in a date and time very far into the future (or use the pop-up calendar) if you wish to schedule launches for later. The interval and set interval functions are entirely optional, so I hope they didn't distract you from the simple base case. You can review your pending listings in Pending as always. We'll be sure to cover the launching system well during the walk-through sessions we have planned.
We have ongoing efforts to make the system ever-better as well of course, so your feedback is very important to this process. Thank you for it.

I am getting ready to switch. I am worried about my closed auctions. I run a lot of auctions plus a Vendio Store and an Ebay store. Does that part of the change go easy?

How do we get to try SMIE? I tried to activate but have to wait to get it from Vendio??? In an email? Or how?

Gtootie,
There are very few changes in the Closed auction portion of Inventory Edition (post-sale), so what you already know about Sales Manager will still apply.
neglus,
You can send an e-mail, and be sure to include your vendio username. Alternately, you can review the marketing information (demo, etc.) and use the contact form here (Click the Get Started button at the bottom):
http://www.vendio.com/my/smpp/promo_smpp.html
We'll send you a note with a link. If you don't receive one, post back here, and I'll generate one for you myself to send you.

I checked my email and there it was! Before I switch over I have a few questions...principally is this an OFFLINE application and does it involve synchronization like Sales Manager Pro?

Hi Neglus,
Actually, it's entirely online at this time. Items from SMPro can be imported into Inventory Edition, however. Initially, you can import existing items Sales Manager (active items and/or inventory). Then you can upload subsequent batches from Pro and periodically import from Sales Manager (do not replicate importing from inventory for this reason, however, since that will import all inventory items again and not just the new SMPro items).
SMPro support for SMIE is not yet developed nor fully intended, so this method is primarily meant to be a method of importing items initially to SMIE. We are curious to hear feedback about the importance of an offline counterpart to SMIE as well, like SMPro.

Good - I don't want to synchronize and like working online so this should be great. Can I still access all the items I have unscheduled in "pending"?

OK, so far I am happy. Is there anyway you can set up the Store Categories the same way you have the inventory folders? I have been asking for this for a long time. I don't always explain things very well, but this is what I want. This set up would be perfect for my store.

I think being able to sync between and online and offline application would be great! I would love SMpro with better inventory features as well as the ability to sync all the info between on and offline. I have switch back to SM and will try SMIE again once the weekend is over and I get my packages out from this weekend. I just didnt want something to interfere with my business in the meantime.
What else would be great is if I were able to simply copy or move a closed item into inventory in SMIE. Is that possible? I didnt see that ability.

I just edited and listed several items to my eBay store with the bulk editor. It worked very well except for one thing.
We need a button to turn Gallery On or Off without changing the picture. The way it is now, if you change the top one and copy that to the rest you also copy the top picture.
We may not have the gallery on for regular listing but want to turn it on for a free or 1 cent gallery day.
Also can we set a BIN price and turn the BIN option on and off?

It would also be cool if we could change our templates all at once instead of one auction at a time.

Thanks for the reply pn the launching issue, but when I check an item and get to the launch screen, here is what I get:
ERROR
• The following items cannot be launched on eBay as Stores because they don't have valid site data set:

Please edit the items if you wish to launch on the specified site.
Launch your selected items in 5 easy steps:

2. Set the Number of Listings you want to launch (each of which will become a separate listing).
3. (Optionally) Set the Launch Interval to spread out each separate listing across time.
4. Enter the Launch Date and Time for each item (or you can click "Set Interval" to spread out all your listings on this page across time).
5. Preview (optional to see how your item will look) and click "Launch".

Hi I'm very high volume seller i switch to the new program Sales Manager Inventory Edition i been using it the whole weekend and i can see it will cut my listng time to about by at list half or even better .
My only question is i want my program to be set in way that if i sell 1 items and i have 10 of the same item in my inventory i want the program to launch another 1 for me until inventory is down to 0 .
i did set up the manager profile but I'm not sure if i did it wright because i see the items in pending as they are going to be launched every day and i don't want that.i only want 1 on the market at the time not multiple of the same.
Also there is no spell check .
THANK YOU . YOU GUYS DID VERY NICE JOB BY GIVING US THIS NEW PROGRAM.

I am having a problem relisting also. I can't relist unsold items. This is the message I get:
Note: The following items are unavailable for relist or copy:
GUARDIAN ANGEL CAT PIN AND BOOKMARK SETS - Auto Relist is enabled for this item and will be relisted automatically.
I tried from Unsold Items and from Closed Items.
I also could not find where to mark an auction for Auto Relist. Is that the problem? This feature is not available with this Edition? Therefore auction set up with it before the switch will not be launched?

mikeb9910,
Thanks for your kind words. Here is the scenario:
1. Apply a Schedule-Quantity launch profile with 1 as your market limit
2. Schedule launches each day of the week for a set time
3. Subsequent days' launch events will appear in pending, however, the launch events will NOT occur if the previously listed item is not yet sold (we'll test to see if an item is on the market still just prior to launching). As these launch events clear pending, you'll see the item history update each day to indicate that the launch did not occur because the quantity on market limit was reached.
4. When the item sells, we'll post another at the first available scheduled time. Obviously, with Fixed Quantity launch profiles, we'll launch the next item immediately (well, very shortly after) the item sells.
I hope this answers your question. I've requested that we provide better visual aid/note in pending for auto items that indeed these are listed as you scheduled them, however, items may not go out if quantity on market limit is already reached. As a side note, if you manually launched an item prior to the first launch event, we'd also not launch the item, since you've already met your specified limit for that type of item. Note also to give more flexibility, the limit test is made independently for auctions, fixed price and store items rather than all added together for a "market limit."
Gtootie,
I'm having some folks review your account to see what may be causing the relisting difficulty. Also, we should find a way to add back the simple "Auto-relist" as a launch option. It can be done with launch profiles, but I'll add a simpler version to our enhancements list. Thanks for your other observations as well. We have some solutions in work, and it confirms some of the thoughts we had as we tested internally. We didn't want to hold up the entire release for them (mainly because we wanted to get feedback sooner), but we do understand the requests.

I had about 2 or 3 pending listings in SM and made the switch *AGAIN* over to SMIE. Now my pending listings is empty. Where did they go? Also if I schedule an auction for a future date using "relist" in post management it does not show in pending listings. Where does it go? It would be great if you could keep SMIE very similar to SM as most users are very used to the way that works.
On the other hand the inventory application is great! I just need to go ahead and switch back again until we can get this pending listings problem resolved.

ninerfanzz,
As you surmised, it's a bit tricky to make a new, better, inventory system without some disruption. We've tried and will continue to try our best.
To have your old pending items appear in Inventory Edition, use the option to Import Inventory Based on Existing Listings ('Import' in left hand navigation). They should import then. Let us know if they don't appear as inventory items.
The SMIE pending items go away when you convert back and are not resynthesized when you go back *again* to SMIE. We do this intentionally primarily as a safety valve. On one hand, obviously we don't want recently created pending listings that you can't see anymore (or control any more) to be going out behind the scenes. Alternately, assume you set up launch profiles and items in SMIE and converted back, but then went back *again* to SMIE much later. If we kept the profiles active, items may begin launching immediately upon your return, even if it had been a month later and you had sold all the items using the "older" sales manager. There are probably complex solutions, but this way felt the safest and easiest to explain in the rarer case of multiple conversions.

Hi good morning i just realized how are we going to deal with unsold items to re list them if i have to re list my auctions i have too many auctions and it will be impossible .
is this program designed to re list unsold item directly so i can get my fees back if it sells on the second time?
Please advise.
The listing part is excellent .
THANK YOU.

Can we switch back and forth between the two sales manager editions? Could we list using the "old" sales manager and relist using the "new"?

I still can not launch anything from SMIE! Please, I need detailed directions obviouslly!
So far, this is what I have done:
Gone to the folder where the item I want to launch is
Checked the box next to the item
Clicked "Launch"
Left "Launch:Selected Items"
As:eBay Stores
clicked "Launch"
And then I get:
ERROR
• The following items cannot be launched on eBay as Stores because they don't have valid site data set:
# YU GI OH DUEL MASTER'S GUIDE SET YUGI & KAIBA
Please edit the items if you wish to launch on the specified site.
Launch your selected items in 5 easy steps:
1. Set your Qty. Per Listing (1 for standard listings, >1 for multiple-quantity fixed-price or dutch auction listings).
Vendio official time 8:51:49 AM PDT
Now, I was told earlier all this information is set after I click the second "Launch", obviouslly I can't. So can someone PLEASE explain this to me! I really need to get my items launched!

Hello,
Mike -- I believe you talked to Abe about all the questions you had so let us know if you are confused on anything else with SMIE.
Neglus -- is there a particular reason why you would want to list with old Sales Manager, and relist in SMIE?
Splashpage -- are you referring to Default Prices on the Inventory tab and Prices on the Site Specifics tab? The Inventory one is meant to be the default to prefill the other.
Regards,
Sonya

Hi yes i did speak to Abe THANKS.
I been discovering new and easy ways to list watch and launch items every day .
One part that i discovered was that if you create new inventory item set up your manage profile first to list your items and put in the time when you want your auctions to go live do that part first and then start creating your new ads or transfer your existing ads to the program and attach the manage profile to the ad and let the program list the items for you don't do Manuel listing so you don't end up with multiple auctions of the same item.let the program be fully automated seems that you get better results that way.
AND I CAN TELL YOU MY SALES HAS GONE UP AND ONLY 50% OF MY INVENTORY IS BEEN SET UNDER THIS PROGRAM SO FAR , THE fact that you are listing items and not going back to these items until either you did not get paid or you need to ship to me that is very big help not to have realist and lower or increase prices it doest it for you.
THANK YOU VENDIO.
