...an annual, flat rate plan for those of us who just need the templates and image hosting?

Previously, I was on the "pay as you go plan."
I've cancelled my image hosting plan since I'm not doing auctions right now, but I was being charged the $2.95 monthly minimum for 10/6 and 11/6, when I didn't have any auctions running.

Now, I'm looking at getting re-started. If I stick with pay as you go, I understand the tiers. When I am doing auctions, I usually have 30 - 40 MBs in storage since I use multi-photo layouts. That would put me in the $9.95 a month bracket, which is OK.

But then when I finish doing my next group of auctions, I'd have to cancel my image hosting plan again. On again, off again.

I'm looking at the Seller's Sourcebook as an alternative - up to 100 MBs of image storage for an annual fee of $70, with templates. No
other services, but I don't need much of the stuff that's bundled into Vendio's $250 annual plan, and that one still has a per-listing fee - too much for the low-ticket stuff I do.

Would Vendio consider doing that kind of flat rate plan - templates, a good amount of image storage (50 to 100 MBs), listing, and the control panel - as "Sales Manager Light"?

I find the tiering with the $2.95, $4.95, and $9.95 a bit much. I'd rather just pay a flat fee for the year and be done with it.

Even when I'm not doing auctions, I'm working on putting more together. I work full-time, but I try to find time in the evening and on the weekend to take more photos and write descriptions a bit here and a bit there.
Then, when I have more time, I launch my auction segments. So I end up using a lot of storage even when I'm not active. But those periods of time in-between are important to me, in terms of getting organized. And, even when I'm not doing major segments, I like to do one-off auctions or small segments in-between, so I'm not completely out of the market in-between.

I passed along your comments. It's great to get feedback from our customers regarding our services.
Happy Thanksgiving! Hope it was good!

There has got to be a better way for Vendio to consider the seller who lists on an occasional basis. Many of us used the Pay as You Go plan because it fit our busy multi-faceted lifestyle perfectly. Now, with the change in payment plans, it drastically hurts the occasional seller because they must pay even if they don't list every month. I think Vendio should listen to their customers and reconsider the occasional seller and the payment plan.

Darin,

Thanks for the quick response.

What would be great would be a flat rate of $50 for 50 MB, with templates - no other fees, no other services.

I don't even understand much of what is bundled into your auction management/inventory management products.

But I do believe that multiple photos and neat-looking, easy-to-read templates are
critical to selling on eBay. I'm small potatoes, but I have a 97% sell-through rate.

Can you let me know if my suggestion goes anywhere?

I'm still on deadline this week, but I'm about to start the process of opening more boxes and listing auctions during the slow season in publishing, which is December and January.

I can try out the Sellers Sourcebook for three months for $21. That's what I'm looking
at right now.

I like Vendio's templates better - more flexibility and more in the way of plain templates without themes.

But, for my stuff, it's the photos that count. With their service, I can sign up once and not think about MBs and how many photos I upload while I'm getting my segments organized.

Ciao,

Me, too.

I've been looking at this since they announced the changes and came to the conclusion that the occasional seller had been overlooked. The packages include a lot of services that you just don't need if you're not a regular seller in volume.
