Hi Beth,

Unfortunatly, you cannot use calculated shipping for other countries yet. It is presently only available for the US. I will log a suggestion for calculated shipping for international orders on your behalf.

Sonya

I'm thrilled to hear this, after I've had (thanks to the downspiraling dollar!) many more International bidders who, bless their hearts, follow instructions to go to my Vendio checkout page, and eagerly zip off their payments without further reading my special instructions to International bidders to wait for another e-mail with final costs.
One from Germany sent an ebay invoice, but then went to Vendio also, and filled that in, and must have used that, even after receiving ebay's (my) invoice for International costs, which was also automatically translated into German ( I didn't know they did that, that's a plus!)

He sent payment by Paypal transfer funds, and of course,U.S. shipping, i.e. $10.00 short!!
Fortunately, he has been very co-operastive and polite, and is sending the remainder, but I don't want this happening again, especially when bidders' don't have total mastery of English. It's confusing to them .

I have a fixed rate for international but I am assuming that yours vary due to the items sold?
On the custom shipping box, I just typed in: International and then the fixed rate.

Mine varies with the items sold, and the countries.
It is more costly to Australia than Germany.
I try to keep the International costs to a minimum, unless the bidder wants special services.
The ebay calculator was helpful with a recent sale to Australia, but I had to use ebay's checkout for that; my bidder and I weren't able to get it through Vendio checkout, which would have been fewer steps, e-mails, site changes etc.

Hi, maybe I'm missing something here. Never have used the calculated shipping feature. But before I moved to France and shipped worldwide from the USA I just went into the USPS International shipping site and knowing my package weight and the country it was going to it took about 15 seconds to arrive at an exact price for International Shipping and Insurance. Hope this helps.

Yes, cyberageart, that's what I, and I'm sure others, have to do at present.

But a calculator on the Vendio page would enable the buyer to know their international shipping costs when completing the form; thus omitting a wait on their, and my, part sending question/answer e-mails back and forth.

Many like to pay immedistely with Paypal, and if they can get the information from the checkout page, they can complete their transaction at their convenience and in their time-zone, which I think is a plus, especiallly when dealing with Europe and Australia etc.
