Hey all, over the last week I've listed 25 auctions, and in my haste, failed to go through all of Vendio's set up pages.

After I launched the auctions, I decided to set up the WBNs. Is this too late, will these setting apply to auctions created only from now onwards?

I see it looks like I can manually send WBNs, but I don't want to have duplicates in case Vendio already has (or will) send them out.

Hello Powerwebmedia,
while your listings are still active you can modify the WBN behavior. Please go to your active listings page (from left nav), check an active listing (or all of them) and hit the WBN button. On the next page you will see the auto-WBN status, and you can modify the setting, together with the WBN message and even the shipping carriers and amounts.

Thanks, I did modify the WBN behaviors while the auctions were still active, but now, almost 12 hours later, they appear to have not yet gone out. I'm quite certain of this becuase I checked the box to copy me on all emails, and I haven't got any.

Hi there,

I believe there may have been some trouble delivering mail between 11:00 and 12:00 pacific this afternoon, so you may notice delays from mail sent during this timeframe. I am checking to see if there was a larger issue that may have affected mail over the past 12 hours, and will let you know if so.

In the meantime, if step #1 in post-sale is not checked off, please try sending the WBNs manually.

Thanks, and I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

Diana

Hi Diana,

I just tried to manually resend (or send for the first time) my WBNs. Doesn't seem to work, - I got an error message saying something was incomplete... I should have written down the exact message. Another message said they were sent successfully, but I haven't been copied on any WBNs. Also, box #1 is not highlighted.

I've manually typed up my own WBN and sent to each of the winning bidders through my email client. Rather time consuming to say the least.

I've got some auctions ending tomorrow night, and I'd like to be sure the winning bidders get their WBN. As mentioned earlier, I selected this option after the auctions were launched, but since they're not over yet, I should still be ok, right?

On a side note (spearate issue, different bidders), I can't seem to import my Second Chance Offers - current or ended. Is this option still available?

Hi there,

To the best of my knowledge, there was a network issue earlier that probably did affect email for a very small percentage of users. I believe that this was resolved, and I'm not sure that it would cause the problem you're reporting. Would you mind if we try sending a WBN from here, so we can replicate the error? It sounds like there might be some missing information, rather than an email issue.

As for Second Chance listings - only active Second Chance listings will import, but there shouldn't be a problem in this area. When did you run the import? Sometimes it takes a little while for them to appear in your active listings.

Thanks,

Diana

Hi Diana,

As I've already typed up and sent my own WBN emails, it might not be a good idea to send them out again, the bidders might get annoyed with too many emails, however there is one you could try, the winning bidder's email bounced when I tried to send it, for item #7942916098. You could try that one.

Tomorrow night I have another 10 auctions finishing, if you want to monitor this situation, you could watch to see if the WBNs go out tomorrow night, or send them from your end.

As for the Second Chance listings, I had several that were active, I tried to import them, but all that was imported was an auction I ran a few weeks ago before I joined Vendio. I tried importing these last night with about 22 hours left on the 2nd chance listings, they never did get imported. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Hello Powerwebmedia,

I' ve looked over all your closed items for 12/28. All of them have auto-WBN set to off, meaning that WBN was not supposed to go automatically.
I also lokked over the item #7942916098. WBN could not be sent for this item because you did not specify any shipping option (carrier and amount). Please go to this closed item page, in postsales, click on SendWBN link and follow instructions (the error message will be: Shipping and Handling Options not set). Click on EditNow button, go to Shipping and Handling section, select at least a carrier and an associated amount, then hit EmailWBN button at the bottom of the screen.

Hmmmm, I thought I had the WBN set properly, guess I'm still new to Vendio. Maybe it's becuase I launched the auction first, then set the WBN, although I was lead to believe that it didn't matter, just so long as the WBN was set before the end of the auction.

Should work out better next time, I hope. I'll check the shipping sections, but I left some of them blank because some are USA specific and I'm in Canada. Will WBNs only work for US sellers?

Hello Powerwebmedia,
WBN works for all Vendio customers, regardless of their location.
You only need to specify one shiping carrier and amount. However, without a shipping carier, WBN will not be sent.

Thanks Marius, I'll try that for the next set of auctions I launch.
