I'm relatively new to Vendio and had some questions about shipping.
1. If I choose UPS Ground and input the weight, dimensions and my zip code, will there be a box at the bottom of the "live" auction page where they can enter their zip code and find out how much it will cost them?
If so, what rates are they being quoted? Counter rates?
If not, is there a calculator I can put in the auction so they can see their shipping rates BEFORE bidding?
2. When I was going through preferences, I noticed that you gave the option of a discount on the 2nd item or a flat fee $ off. What if I just say $1.50 per additional item? I can't do an amount off because it could be a $4 or an $8 shipping cost (the 2nd cheaper item).
Also, I have some items that cannot be combined in one box. Is there a way to turn off "combined" shipping on just those items?
At the moment we do not offer calculated shipping for UPS. This is on its way and should be available soon, however. Please check the Announcements forum frequently for updates on feature releases.
We do offer a shipping calculator, you can activate it in My Account > Global Preferences under item listing options. You must have the option to display shipping and handling present, and you must also offer a calculated shipping option for checkout in order for the calculator to appear.
If you say $1.50 off for the discount shipping it will take off $1.50 no matter what. You might want to try using the percentage option instead.
You can only turn off combined shipping if you disable the shopping cart in Global Preferences.
If you need more assistance with any of this please let us know.

So, how can they calculate it if you don't offer UPS calculations?
Any idea on when this will come on line? I have some heavy items I want to list and would rather use a calculator then a fixed price for shipping. I only use UPS for my heavier items.
