Hi
Will someone please answer these questions?
1. Should I install over the current program or remove it and then reinstall?
2. Which files should I keep if I am going to remove and reinstall?
Thank you.
Paula
ps-please take the time to read and respond to all questions in a post. Several times lately I have asked multiable related questions and only get one general answer. That takes me and you more time because the questions need to be re-addressed by both of us.
I realize you are busy but if you are going to answer a post, please answer it throughly.
1. You can do either. It's usually better to uninstall first.
2. If you want to make a back up, you only need to copy what is in the batches and inv folders in your Vendio directory. Images and preferences are downloaded from online. If you are installing in the same directory as the old one, you probably won't have to use those backups but it's nice to have them anyway as a safety measure.
If there are any posts that we have missed, please link us to them. Occasionally, we need additional help in answering some questions so posts might not all get answered at once -- we apologize for not always informing you when this is the case (or if we completely missed your point in the first place...sorry!).

Hello Paula,
That is correct. There is also a file in the DATA folder called INV.DAT that you should backup when removing completely and wanting to manually back up your data.
When you uninstall from the Ad/Remove option in your Windows Control Panel it will save these files on it's own, but just to be certain that you have these for your records its also a good idea to back up manually.
You do not have to make the link clickable, just copy/paste the URL from the page where the post is and we can locate it that way.
To make it clickable, use the following tag formula here in the message center: [url.]www.vendio.com[/url.]
(remove the periods)
Regards,
Christopher
