I am new to Vendio and uploaded 5 photos for an auction without realizing how much space they would take up in MB. I only signed up for 3MB of space and now it shows I used 1.78MB with those 5 pictures. I went in and deleted them and deleted my recycle bin but my account still shows that I have the same usage taken up. I resized them but am afraid to upload them to Vendio because I don't want to move up to the next price category in Image Hosting. Can anyone tell me how to get back to zero in my image hosting usage? I haven't launched the auction yet either. I was using Ebay to do everything without any problems.(except Price)
Thanks so much.

Hello,

You haven't emptied the recycle bin yet -- I checked and your images are still there. Before you upload more, make sure you empty it. If you are having trouble doing it, let us know and we'll empty it for you.

I noticed your images are almost 500kb in file size. To be able to upload more under the 3MB bracket, you should try resizing those images. You should be able to do this in your graphics program (if you use one) or even in the basic Microsoft Paint program.

Hi Sonya,
I emptied the recycle bin and went back to make sure it showed no pictures but my account still shows 1.78MB used of space. Should the account show zero space used now? I will not launch any auction on Vendio until this is resolved because I don't want to be moved up to the next Image Host price level. I have already resized my photos for uploading after this is resolved. Thanks for your help.

Robin

Hi Sonya,
I see now that the Image Hosting Screen under Standard pictures shows zero MB but my account statement still shows Current Peak Usage of 1.78MB. Why is this, and how does this affect the total of 3MB that I signed up for? Does this mean I only have 1.22MB left or do I have the whole 3MB now that I have 0 MB in my Standard Pictures storage?

Thanks again,
Robin

Hello,

The Peak Usage on your statement doesn't affect what you actually have stored, it just tells you what your peak usage was for image hosting. Your true number is on the Image Hosting page...it says 0.00MB now, so you have successfully cleared the Recycle Bin. You can go ahead and upload your resized images.

Sonya

Sonya,
Thanks for your reply however the question still is: For purposes of your billing for image hosting, am I at zero MB right now or am I at 1.78MB as is showing for peak use on my account statement? If I add photos right now that equal 1.30MB, will I be considered over 3.0MB for billing and be moved up to the next price category?
Thanks,
Robin

Hello,

At the moment you are at 0.00. You were at 1.78 before you deleted those images. You are being billed under the 3 MB plan -- this will not change unless you go over 3 MB in Image Hosting (where it says 0.00 right now). As I mentioned in my previous post, the peak usage has no effect on what you have stored in Image Hosting right at this time. The peak usage is your highest amount of stored images at any given time. You can upload up to 3 MB worth of images right now and not be bumped up.

Regards,

Sonya
