I finally found a post dated 1-6-2005 with the same problem.... BUT... It WOULD'VE BEEN BIGGGGG OF VENDIO TO GIVE ME A HEADS UP ON THIS! Any way to restore my pics at this point?
The problem you're experiencing is a result of the restructured Image Hosting pricing that went into effect on 9/30/04. We did not assign an Image Hosting plan to customers (like yourself) who did not have any live images; this step was taken to avoid charges for customers who weren't using Image Hosting.
If you would like to use Image Hosting, click the "Sign up now" button on the Image Hosting page. You may select the lowest level plan if you are more comfortable with that, as the plan will adjust upward if your image storage exceeds the amount of storage allotted to the plan you choose. Remember that all of your Sales Manager and Vendio Stores fees will work to offset the image hosting plan subscription, so you may not be charged additionally for image hosting at all if your Sales Manager usage fees exceed the image hosting plan fees.
Please refer to our pricing page for information on available pricing plans for Image Hosting:
Be aware that although your plan will adjust upward as you upload images, it will not automatically adjust downward if you delete images. You will need to adjust the plan downward yourself under My Account -> My Service Plans.
Unfortunately it is not possible to restore images if they have already been deleted.
I'm sorry that you missed our messaging regarding the new Image Hosting pricing plans. This change was announced in advance of implementation on our website, in accordance with our User Agreement. We do appreciate our customers and understand the role they play in where the company is today. We would like to take this opportunity to point out the following:
1. Our Image Hosting pricing by itself continues to be exceptionally low compared to our competitors. See our pricing comparison:
2. We went out of our way to make sure that Image Hosting would remain *free* for Sales Manager, Tickets Manager and Vendio Stores users (assuming that your image hosting usage is in line with your Sales Manager usage.) We could have simply added on Image Hosting fees like other companies do.
3. We went above our legal obligation as specified in our User Agreement to notify users of this pricing change.
We have tens of thousands of users so it's understandable that some still miss our communications. I hope you can see we've gone out of our way to communicate the changes and be fair. And I hope you can see that Vendio continues to be a great deal for the features we offer.

Sonya, thanks for explaining but the fact remains I was not notified. I had several images uploaded that I can't retrieve and don't have copies of... my bad for not copying to files here. I will consider the new policies and pricing and make a choice.
As explained by you, yup... all your legal obligations were fulfilled! I'm just slightly ticked that I got no email on the subject at the time the changes were being made. My account level provided for free image storage and when that changed I should.ve been notified. Plain and simple. You guys always find my email address when you want to sell something. And I always used your services when I wanted to sell on eBay, now I must reconsider.
