I took a picture of an item with digital camera and uploaded to Vendio. The picture is too large, i.e., you have to scroll side-to-side and up/down to view it. How can I adjust the picture to fit on screen?
You would need to resize it offline and upload it again. Your other option is, if you want to keep it that big, enable image resizing. The "click to view larger version" option may be enabled or disabled by following these steps:
-Go to My Account -> Global Preferences
-Go to Item Listing Options
-Check or uncheck the box for "Automatically scale down large images for faster download and cleaner presentation"
-Click "Save Preferences"
Please be aware that automatic resizing will -only- be activated if an image is over 250 pixels wide. If your image is 250 pixels wide or smaller, there will be no "click to view larger version" option on your auction listing.
Also note that you must copy and paste all of the code generated by our system into your auction if you are using image hosting only in order to take advantage of this feature.
I do have the "automatically scale down..." checked in global preferences. I thought I had made the picture smaller prior to uploading, but guess I must not know how properly accomplish this task.
It depends, you could do 700 x 500 (which would fit optimally for people who have screen resolutions of 800 x 600. A little bit bigger is good if you have a lot of definition in your images.

I would like to be able to set a "global preference" for the size of the automatically re-sized images in my auctions. I'd like the standard re-sized image to be a bit bigger than the size Vendio scales it down to.
