I have an auction I am trying to start. The category is in Sporting Goods Single Burner Camping Stove, #87138. When I go to choose that category, only the main category SPORTING GOODS #382 appears in the top box. I cannot get any other sub-categories to load. I tried clicking on "revert the menu to its previous behavior, then all I got was a long list of "undefined", no categories at all showed. When I try entering the category #87138, it goes back to displaying the Sporting Goods #382 main category, with no sub-categotries, just as I described at the beginning of this post.
I emptied my cache and deleted my history, and that didn't help. I have TWO VERY GOOD ITEMS I wanted to list tonight, and now it's too late here on the West Coast to do that. TIME IS MONEY. Pleas tell me how to deal with this.
BTW, all the other main categories that I tried loaded completely, the problem seems to be with the Sporting Goods.
It's probably related to your browser as I am having no trouble pulling up category #87138. Are you using your AOL browser? Please try using an alternate browser to pull up the categories.

Not to sound dense, but how exactly do I use an alternative browser? I went onliine with AOL, then I opened Explorer up separately, went to vendio, and tried launching the auction that way, but the category still didn't load. Can you gve me some direction??

Still cannot launch my auctions. I rarely list in Sporting goods.I now rmember that last year, I had this same problem getting this category to load. Somehow we resolved it, but I can rememebr. It involved using shift + one of the F keys. I don't think this problem is my browser. But I'm open to input. Really, all I want to do is launch this stuff i have!
Try clearing your temporary internet files and your cache. You might want to do this a couple times. Then, go back to the category selection page and click on Control-F5 simultaneously, to refresh your category list. After you do this try to select a category. This is for the IE browser not for AOL -- by alternate browser I was referring to Internet Explorer.
I also created a pending listing with your sporting goods category -- you can use that as a base for your listings and just keep copying it if you continue to have trouble with all this. See if you can click on the Edit Category link and change the category from within that listing as well.
Regards,
Sonya

I really appreciate you setting up the pending listing for me.
I did try doing all that you suggested. I empied my cache and history 3 times, did the C+F5, and I still couldn't load Sporting Goods. Also, I cannot change the category from the pending auctionm.
I have two auctions I needed to launch in Sorting Goods. One is the pending auction you prepared for me, the single burner camp stove. But the other is in a diferent Sporting Goods category, and I can't use the pending for it, as I can't switch sub-categories. Can you create another pending listing for me in category #87143? I'll be ever so grateful.
Sometimes you need to disable other programs from running in the background when you run into one of these errors, along with the rest of the steps.
We went ahead and saved a 'new listing' in your pending section setup in category 87143 so you dont have to mess around with this anymore. Let us know if this persists and we'll walk you through the process.
