This problem started on Friday 5/20/05. When creating a listing, all of a sudden the "select images" section would not work, and still does not. There is no option to choose which folder to select images from, nor do any of my images appear at all. The browse and search buttons do not work as well. Could I have clicked on something by accident to cause this? You have my permission to check my account to investigate. This is in any new listing attempt and in my pending auctions that I have saved as templates.

I had a similar problem a few months ago when visiting my mother and working from her computer. I am sure Vendio techs will have an answer for you but until they show up - do you access Vendio through AOL? If yes, try using the IE browser instead of the AOL browser and see if that works. Also, if you have a firewall, try temporarily disabling it to see if that will work. I can't remember which one worked but I remember one of those "fixes" did.

Hello spoilerman,

What are you seeing in place of this box to select the images and which image folder to choose from?

Neglus is on the right track for how to possibly work around this error. We havent heard from anyone thus far, regarldess of service being used to connect, for this specific issue, but if you are using AOL or any new antivirus or firewall software, try switching it off and see if it appears as a result.

Please let us know if this persists.

Regards,
Christopher

I do not use AOL, only IE to connect to internet. This is what happened when I tried to copy and paste the "SELECT IMAGES" section in create listing.

*As you can see below after Quick Find: there are the list of my folders. These do not show up in the SELECT IMAGES section when creating a listing.

When I try to click on search, the button is non responsive. I do not understand why the folder titles showed up when I did copy and paste above. After the part that says "Quick Find" when I type a picture or folder name in the box, nothing happens when I "browse" or "Search" for images. This all happened in the same session while creating successful auction listings. I believe I did 4 auctions as normal. On the next auction the "SELECT IMAGES" section looked different. When I print out the page the folders are not listed either, only when I did copy and paste in this response.

I just now tried disabling my firewall, and trying create listing that way. It made no difference, there are still no images to choose from. Right below where it says Images: and next to the big window, there is a box that says [NONE] inside it, just like I do not have any images available.??????????????????????????????????????

I have now tried uploading images in the Image Hosting section, and was successful. But I cannot do anything in the SELECT IMAGE section in CREATE LISTING. The new images uploaded in the Image Hosting section also are not visible or accessible in CREATE LISTING- SELECT IMAGES section????????????

OK, here is some new info on this problem. I am now accessing Vendio through Netscape 7.0 and the folders and pictures appear just like they should. I have updates waiting for download in Internet Explorer, may that have something to do with my problem??? As for now I am off to get these auctions listed!!!! Please continue to investigate this issue.

I have downloaded updates for windows, and still no luck with images issues while using IE. Netscape 7.0 allowed me to create listing and use my "Select Images" options to select images to place in auction listings. Why might this option stop working in IE suddenly ???

MORE INFO............

creating listing with Internet Explorer as browser, there is no Folders option with drop down menu in "SELECT IMAGES"

Whereas while using Netscape 7.0 the folders option is shown with dropdown menu and fully functional.

I have used IE exclusively and the Image issue just appeared suddenly during a recent session on 5/20/05 and still remains.

Still looking for answers.

Hello,

I checked your account and did not have any problems attaching images from various folders to your items. Some of your folders don't have any images in them.

Please try pressing CTRL + F5 on your keyboard or pressing the CTRL button + the Refresh button on your browser -- this will help refresh your page. Please let us know if you still can't access this on IE after you try this suggestion.

Regards,

Sonya

Sonya,

Thank You for your suggestion of CTRL + F5 to refresh the page. That did the trick and all is well. Isn't funny how simple a cure can be? Wish I knew then what I know now.

Thanks Again!
