It would be good to know when/if you have regularly scheduled or planned dates/times that you do site maintenance so we can plan our work accordingly. Maybe an announcement stating the times (like ebay and PayPal do) and the possible effects on the users if they are trying to work during those periods.
I don't know if you are working now but I am experiencing site slowness. This would be a perfect time for maintenance (Sat pm) as most users aren't online....that's why I thought I would get some work done moving items to my store but the slowness is almsot unworkable! If I knew you working on the site I would just bag it and try later.
