I was EXTREMELY upset to find that a Vendio support tech has CONFIRMED that the Vendio Logo, which is automatically inserted to every one of our outgoing Customer Manager e-mails (assuming your preferences are set to "HTML" mode), CAUSES many of our e-mails to be filtered out by our buyers' "junk/SPAM" filters.
Vendio offers absolutely no way to turn off this automatically inserted logo, and suggests only that I switch from "HTML" to "Text" message mode in order to remedy the problem. I don't know about anyone else, but my e-mail signature includes a link where buyers can add me to their favorites, has bold text, and italics...All of which will NOT work if I switch to "Text" mode.
I realize that Vendio is trying to promote their service, and I typically have absolutely no problem with this. But when my customers are not receiving my e-mails (it seems the number grows every day), this becomes a *VERY SERIOUS* problem. Vendio NEEDS to give us the option to turn off their logo. Does anyone else agree with this? If so, please let Vendio know you are upset too.

Hi mandaray,
Thanks for your post. I will make sure product development gets your message. Unfortunately, that is the best I can do. I'm not sure if you got my last email. But that text option might be your best bet at this point. A lot of spam filters will filter out that logo from what I can tell.

Yes, thank you, Bob. I did get your last message. I just wanted some people to back me up here...Switching to "text" mode just doesn't work for me. I really rely on my e-mail signature to entice people to add me to their eBay Favorites List, etc., and my signature looks terribly unprofessional in "text" form.

I agree, we the users who pay for this service should have the option of being able to turn the logo off. It does make thing's complicated when a customer does not get a email because it was filtered out. In my opinion, the outgoing email is mine, if you can lay claim to electronic data sent over the net. But in any case it is mine and "I" should have the choice of what is in it. If I want to put spam in my email that should be my choice and not someone else's. I pay for the services I use on Vendio so I should have the choice. If it was a free service I would not have a problem with them adding the spam as I would not be paying for the service. I don't have a problem with the and let me be clear on this "OCCASIONAL" add that is placed on the Vendio website. I really don't like the animated ones but still as long as they are not let to get out of hand I can live with it. But there is one big difference, the add's on the Vendio website do not effect weather or not a customer get's a email, the ones placed in the email do. Do us a favor and either remove them or at least give us the choice to put what we want in the email, remember, we pay for services on Vendio and when we send a email it should be recieved, if the email get's blocked because of the spam then we are paying for something that does not not work. Just my 2cents.

here here on the above comments.
This system has become so difficult to use it has taken away more years on my life then working for someone did all the years i was working a 9-5 job.
We all have to keep spam filters and high levels of security on our machines to keep the thugs out there from harvesting our sensitive info off the computer.
Every time that I have to use this web site I start swearing. I try to us "PRO" as much as I can, but that has become like a model T.
The ads on the web site tool are a waste of money for the advertisers. I can not image anyone responding to them as I try to visually block them out.
Vendio keeps telling us this will become a seamless system, but I have yet to see it.
E-bay store items; 50% of the time do not combine with other orders then I have to pay an additional 30cents to pay-pal because the customer paid already.
Yes you can refund the payment and re-bill, but are we sure that the customer gets a instant refund of their money??
If you want to piss off a customer, refund a $2-$300 sale and then their money is in some loop at pay-pal for 10 days. And why because the system that you pay through the nose for only works half the time.
I truly believe that this snafu about some of the listings not showing up /closing is directly related to one problem.
Vendio wants that dime for the re-list.
So make the system be selective on those items, require us to all manually refresh our system, fill it up with a whole punch of closed sales, re-lists and anything else and see how confused you can make it for the subscribers.
Each and everyday this has gone on.
Vendio, come up with a sales model that gives equity to Vendio for services rendered for those who are here to sell and earn a living.
Charge us the right price and mange our system, not continue to use us as some host to leech off.
All I want is to be able to sit down ,
1-list my items with good picture.
2-I want to be able to open the sales manager up and a ALL of sales -re-lists and payment are there with the pre determined shipping cost there.
That is worth some money to me, at least then I would only need to contact Vendio for three things:
1-to pay the bill
2-ask a question about something i don't understand
3-repair a mistake i made on this system.
Will that ever come about??????wait a minute I am having a flashback...mmmnnnn...,.oh yes now I remember what it is....that was how Vendio use to be before all of these "improvements".

Hi Mike and Roger,
First off, Mike this will NOT affect your account. The end of auction emails do not have any attachments that would cause emails to go into Spam filter. This problem only affects people who use the Vendio Customer manager option. You are not signed up for this option.
Roger, store items not combining could be caused by various reasons. If you can give me some item numbers that didn't combine, I might be able to deduce why that's happened. If the customer does checkout of one item, before buying another, it will cause the items not to combine. They MUST NOT checkout until they've bought all the items on Ebay, in order for it to combine.
Furthermore, we are concerned about your experience with Vendio. The changes we've made have been designed to make your life easier. Unfortunately, because Sales manager Pro was not updated, these updates aren't viable with Sales manager pro. If you're using Sales manager pro, please make sure you don't have your global preferences set to accept international shipping. Simply use the old pro options, like you used to, and the system will allow your buyers to choose any shipping option from the drop down menu of checkout.
Get back to me with some information about the store items, and I might be able to deduce what is happening.

RPM757, did you mean to respond to THIS thread? This thread is about the Vendio logo attachment that is added to outgoing Customer Manager e-mails, and the fact that this attachment makes those e-mails more likely to get filtered out by customers' SPAM filters.
It is not about Vendio problems in general, of which, I have not experienced any that occurred due to the new improvements (aside for a few that happened during the first 3 days of the launch, which is to be expected). The gallery image thing was proven to be an eBay thing, and I LOVE all the new improvements Vendio has made. The checkout enhancements and additional of international shipping options has already saved me HOURS of time.
Let's get this thread back on track...Does anyone have a comment on the Customer Manager logo attachment?

mandaray...maybe you are the only one using it
I don't but it does sound like the typical VD putting their name on everything. I stopped using their invoices because you couldn't edit out their logo. I want my customers to remember me not VD
You might consider opting out of the customer manager until they fix it.

Hi Vintageads,
Do you know of any good alternatives to Customer Manager? I really love their "response" templates that allow me to click one button, and have an entire e-mail response filled in. I use these all the time for questions that my buyers ask frequently. I haven't been able to find a comparable system...At least not one that doesn't cost $1,000 a month!
