I recently moved to AOL 9.0 and now when I create an auction, it takes forever (well, nearly a minute each time) for my 'Create Listings Page' to load. I have to wait to type in anything or move up and down the page.

Can anyone provide a solution to this? Would the amount of images I have in storage on auctionwatch be of any significance to the slowness?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have no help to offer - only can let you know that I have AOL 9 and have the same problem. The page takes forever to load.

Hello,

The problem you have described appears to be limited to AOL users. If you have contacted AOL, and they have responded that the problem is on our end, please write them back and ask them to contact "[email protected]". We would be happy to work with their network engineers in order to resolve this problem, but we cannot find any issue on our end that would cause this.

In the meantime, you might want to try using a different AOL dialup number, or a different ISP if you have one available to you. I am sorry that I am unable to offer a better solution at this time.

Regards,

Sonya

Hello,

I would also try minimizing the AOL window and launching a browser from outside of AOL once connected, then see if you run into the same issue.

This will help you narrow down if its an AOL connection to Vendio issue or simply an AOL 9.0 co-branded browser problem.

Regards,
Christopher

You might try:
1) don't use the AOL embedded browser; after you are on the internet, minimize AOL and click on the Internet Explorer "e" and create listings through that browser
2) Create a prototype listing and "save" it.
3) go to "Sales Manager" -> "Pending" and you will see your prototype listing without a date/time scheduled for launch
4) Click "copy" on the right hand side
5) Edit the "copy", attach images etc and schedule

I created a prototype for every category I am likely to list in. What typically takes a long time to load is the category tree on the "create listing" page. This process by-passes that step by having the category already selected.

You might also try moving images you don't use all the time to folders so that the ones that appear in "unfiled" (and come up on the create listing "browse" function) are the ones you are likely to be using for listing.

I also have AOL 9.0 (for broadband) but never access Vendio through AOL browser and I haven't created a listing through the "create listing" page in a couple of years. Not sure it will work for you but it has cut my listing time considerably!
