I just added a few new store categories on the eBay site and also changed the order of them so that the new categories flow with the old ones.
I then went to update the store categories in my site specifics at Vendio. After updating as instructed, the new categories appeared on the drop downlist, but the reorganzation of the categories did not.
I waited awhile and tried a couple of more times, but with no change.
Is changing the order of the store categories a problem to sync with Vendio?
Or do I need to leave them in the same order for Vendio to pick them up?
Any input or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Susan
So the categories updated but the order didn't change? If you list in the categories your items pertain to, they will appear in those categories in your eBay Store.

That is correct, Sonya. I just tried the update again, but the order does not change to the order in the eBay store.
I have never changed categories before, and have this fear that all my items are going to end up where they don't belong. I sure don't want to end up having to revise every listing just because I changed categories.
But are you saying that if I list an item in my category "X", listed in postion number 5 on the eBay site, even though catgory "X" is sitting in position number 6 on the Vendio drop down menu, that it will still show up in position number 5 once it gets to eBay????

Okay...I just revised a few auctions to put some items in the new categories and see why the list doesn't change order. The drop down on the ebay revise pages is in the same order as the one that came up on the Vendio site when I updated.
Apparently, it doesn't matter what order you change them to through the Manage Store site. They retain the same number position "behind the scenes" as they were originally listed in and only change on the store page when your reorganzie them.
Happy to have my mind put at ease.
Now I can change categories to my heart's content!
