Trying to upload some images and am having a heck of a time. It is taking forever for images to upload. I know this was an issue recently but I thought it was worked out.
Anyone else having problems? It is taking me a super long time to upload the image, if at all. Now it seems like it is just "pending" and not moving to completed.

Sonya, at this time I am not having any problems. Just uploaded several pictures with no problem. However, when trying to upload these same exact photos earlier today they were staying in "pending" forever. Never would upload. And that was at the time of day I posted the intial message about this issue. Possibly Vendio was having a problem at that point of time today. Not sure. But I do know that this is the second time that I have had this same exact problem. VERY frustrating as it delayed me being able to launch auctions for today. I hope that Vendio checks out this issue as I am sure that I am was not the only one having this uploading problem.

What a relief to find this forum.
Vendio says all is OK, but it certainly is not.
It takes 20 minutes to attempt to load a photo. Then 5 times out of 6 it just stays in perpetual loading status.
Does vendio ever give service outage credits?

Ok - another question - if we are having problems uploading photos to Vendio, does this mean that our photos are not showing up on our auctions?
Anyone notice a problem with photos not being displayed on their auctions???
Shorefrog -- there were no server issues on the Vendio side that would have affected the loading of your images. The problem you are having is most likely an issue with your ISP connecting to our servers. Please try loading one image only, and let us know if it still takes a while. We will send you some steps to take so we can narrow down what is causing your slow image uploads.

Vendio, if we are all having the same problem it is obviously not each and every one of our ISP issues. It must be on the Vendio side. Please address this issue as this is causing delays in launching auctions. Please advise......

I'm having a heck of a time too. Probably have wasted an hour at this point. Images say they are uploading but keep getting the pending signal. What's up???

Hello everybody,
At any point in time we have thousands of images being successfully uploaded. There will always be isolated cases of uploading difficulty, and unless there is a technical problem on our side (which would affect many, many more users than are posting here) the problems are generally traced back to an ISP, or a router, or an "accelerator" used on the local computer, or other software installed such as a firewall that can interfere.
If there is a general problem that is affecting our user base, we will post an announcement. Unfortunately, it is impossible for us to diagnose every isolated incident involving image upolading difficulties. We can make some suggestions:
1. If you are using a dialup - please make sure your images are under 50 kb apiece, and upload in small batches. Also, you might want to try another local dialup number if there is one available in your area.
2. Disable any ISP "accelerator" software you might have on your computer.
3. Try clearing your browser cache and rebooting your computer (basic steps that may resolve the problem. )
4. Try resetting your modem and router and/or moving the modem away from your computer.
A way to verify this type of problem is to do full length packet pings:
Go to Start -> Run and type "cmd". In the cmd window, type:
C:\>ping -l 1472 -n 100 -f www.vendio.com
Results will look like:
Pinging www.vendio.com [128.241.88.24] with 1472 bytes of data:
Reply from 128.241.88.1: bytes=1472 time=20ms TTL=61
Reply from 128.241.88.1: bytes=1472 time=20ms TTL=61
Reply from 128.241.88.1: bytes=1472 time=20ms TTL=61
Reply from 128.241.88.1: bytes=1472 time=20ms TTL=61
In the above example we show that we can send packets of 1472 bytes long
(1473 bytes will be to large and will require fragmenting -> which is
inhibited when using the -f option).
Please try running the above step for a while to see if using longer packet lengths impact the ping time (use ctrl-c to escape). If it does, try re-running the command, reducing the -l size from 1472 to around 50. If ping time improves, that indicates some issues with your modem through to your ISP.
