I have items that are closed that show still on market. When you relist it will show 2 items on market instead of one.
If you click the number being shown as At Market in SMIE, you can manually adjust/correct the total. We had been running into issues with eBay being unable to confirm certain launches and as such, quantities would not update properly.
If these are older items, just manually update them. If you happen to notice a more recent listing that is showing on market when it has since closed, trigger an import based on your current eBay listings and the system should automatically update the quantity for you.
