I list quite a bit each day -- some more than others. On March 20th, I had an auction close that I launched through Vendio. Today, I learned that the auction was never tracked through Sales Manager along with the other auctions that I launched that day. If my customer didn't write to me today (mistakenly thinking it closed February 20th), I would never know that this auction was never being tracked. I now am concerned that I have more auctions that aren't being tracked, and I need some help with trying to figure it out. What happened on March 13th with Vendio that would cause it to not track an auction? I'm very concerned about this problem. I don't want to look incompetent to my customers. The auction number is 8268131624. Can you please tell me what happened? Thank you.

Edited to add -- It wasn't ALL of my auctions that didn't get tracked for that day. It is only this one that I know of.

Hello,

Sorry for the delay.

I tracked the original launch for this item - we never received verification of launch from eBay went it went live.

Since the control panel did't receive ebay's id for new item, it was unable to be tracked into the system automatically.

We are working to aid this issue for the future. For now, as you have already done, using the 'track' option will allow the buyer/seller to complete checkout.

Regards,
Christopher

Hmmm - does this happen everytime we get that message about failure to launch and find that the item did indeed launch? Should we start "track" or import when we verify the listing?

Hello,

No, not always, sometimes the system can still track the item into the active list - but usually you will want to check eBay and if the item did make it, go ahead and use the 'track' option.

Hello Susanc,

This is an imported listing that you may need to select and use the built in refresh button to force it to import the winning bidder information.

Once you click to refresh it, wait a few minutes and refresh the page to see the PSM keys.

It was launched through Vendio and should not have had to be imported this keeps happening to me and my customers are furious with me so I am passing on some of that anger.

You give me the same answer every time. I do all the refreshing in the world and the auction does not show up till about two days later after I have hand printed off an invoice through PayPal or another service.

Hello,

FYI, the reason I thought this was an item relisted outside of Vendio is that there is a section at the bottom of the ad that wouldn't be there when an item was submitted from Vendio (a promo about bidpay from august of 2005) - as when you relist from Vendio, everything in that 'seller added the following information' section is wiped.

It looked as though it was an auction item that you had relisted into your eBay storefront directly from the eBay website.

It is possible that you had simply submitted this item into your eBay storefront directly from Vendio back prior to August of 2005 and that bidpay promo was simply added to the listing after that fact.

In the above scenario, that would mean there was an error when you submitted this item back in August that kept it from tracking into your Vendio account - which unfortunately means it needed to be imported.

I placed a check mark next to it and clicked the 'refresh' button and now the PSM keys are appearing for use in the checkout process.

Christopher

OK I appreciate you fixing it. However :

It is possible that you had simply submitted this item into your eBay storefront directly from Vendio back prior to August of 2005 and that bidpay promo was simply added to the listing after that fact.

In the above scenario, that would mean there was an error when you submitted this item back in August that kept it from tracking into your Vendio account - which unfortunately means it needed to be imported.

This is exactly what is happening and I need to know how I fix the rest of my 100 + auctions that were launched in August with bidpay in them.

Hello,

First check to be sure that you even have other items that aren't already in your account.

Just check your active list on Vendio for the number of currently active listings and compare that to your list at eBay.

If you notice they are different, use the import option (rather than the track by item number option) to force the Sales Manager to go out and import any remaining missing items.

Christopher
