I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later.
Beginning May 9th, 2006, Vendio will be adjusting pricing for several Sales Manager plans.
Changes include the following:
* Eliminating the $2.95 monthly minimum on the Sales Manager Pay As You Go Plan. This change allows seasonal sellers to keep their Sales Manager accounts open at Vendio without incurring a Sales Manager fee in months with no listing or sales activity.
* Maintaining our current array of plans while adjusting some pricing elements.
The new Sales Manager Plan prices are listed below:
Monthly Fee Listing Fee Final Value Fee
Pay As You Go Plan -- $0.12 1.25%*
Variable Rate Premium Plan $14.95 $0.06 1%*
Flat Rate Premium Plan $14.95 $0.22 --
Variable Rate Power Plan $34.95 -- 1.25%*
Flat Rate Power Plan $39.95 $0.12 --
* Maximum Final Value Fee is $4.95 per item
We have not adjusted Sales Manager plan pricing since we introduced the monthly subscription plans in 2001 despite a growing maintenance investment and development of new features, including:
* Sales Manager Inventory Edition that greatly expands launch automation, bulk editing and advanced inventory management (winner of eBay’s Star Developer Award for 2005)
* Vendio Checkout, with combined shipping discounts, shipping insurance, sales tax and cross promotion
* Enhanced post sale management, including feedback automation and unpaid item processing
* Enhanced PayPal integration
* Five major SM Pro releases
* Architecture investments and improvements to increase service reliability from already high levels
* Spellchecking and HTML editor for creating listing descriptions
* In-line shipping calculators for USPS and UPS shipping with eBay integration
* A large array of new and fully-customizable listing templates
* Reporting capabilities for your business (available FREE to all Sales Manager users)
* Support for all the latest eBay and PayPal features released over the years, such as eBay Stores, eBay Express, Best Offer, Second Chance Offer, eBay Store categories, Fixed Price listings, item specifics (attributes), and countless other releases
Please note also that Second Chance Offers (SCOs) are not charged listing fees by Vendio or eBay, so sellers are taking advantage of SCOs to reduce their number of eBay listings while maintaining the same or higher sales volumes. Changes to our Flat Rate plans also reflect the reality of these free Vendio sales under these plans. Final Value Fees are charged on SCOs. Additionally, sellers who currently pay image hosting fees in excess of their Sales Manager credits may experience NO pricing change, since higher SM credits toward image hosting will offset any increase.
We will release these plan changes in two phases. Subscriptions and listing fee amounts will be adjusted beginning on May 9, 2006. Final Value Fee adjustments will occur later on May 17th, 2006 to enable typical 7-day eBay auctions and Buy It Now items launched prior to May 9th to close using the current final value fee rates.
These price changes will enable us to continue improving Sales Manager to meet the demands of your growing businesses, the changing marketplace, and the needs of smart sellers everywhere. We look forward to continuing to support your online sales.
Thanks for your support.

I don't mind paying more but perhaps now you can fix:
1. When paying for combined purchases with paypal, no information is recorded in VD even tho payment was sent through mailstep. This inability to record the info in our Post Sale manager has been acknowledged by VD but not fixed.
2. When using SM Pro to list to the VD store, you have to force 1 item avail and 1 item in store giving you two items, even tho you only have one. This problem has been acknowledged but not fixed.
Also, it would be nice to get some upgrades to VD stores including statistics, ability to offer coupons, less restrictive on word count in pages etc.
Just my 2 cents.
My dream site (if I could afford it) would be Marketworks. Beautiful stores, multiple channels, coupons, specials, etc.

I agree with Beth about the Multiple Payment problem and PayPal!!!! There HAS to be a way to communicate this - I know I get all the item #'s when I download a PayPal payments rec'd report weekly (must be the same feed you get).
I don't use SM Pro to list to store. I finally gave up on Vendio EVER getting a decent bulk relister with ability to change format add/remove gallery on one way and just use ebay Selling Manager now.

I just wish that Yahoo listing would be reinstated, so we can list there. I use Vendio to maintain my inventory. I guess they can afford to pass up the listing fees.

Did they drop the cheaper listing fee on the pay as you go plan after the first 50 listings? It used to be $.10 for the first 50 and then $.05 after that each month.

Hi there,
Under the new pricing, the listing fees for the Pay As You Go plan will be $0.12 per listing, for all listings. There will be no more monthly minimum for this plan, however.

I keep reading it, but I guess I just don't get it.
I keep reading the $2.95 minimum will be gone. I have a $9.95 pay as you go minimum, and that allows me to have 55 mb of pictures. Will that change or is my minimum sitll $2.95? When I have a month off, unless I delete my pics and lower my minimum, I still have to pay, I assume?
I didn't think the .12 was that big a deal, until I read that there was no more break after 50, and the end of listing fees have also gone up. I think this is a pretty big raise.
The pay as you go plan has a $2.95 minimum monthly charge currently, meaning if your on this plan and do not end up listing enough items to have a monthly charge of $2.95 - then your charged $2.95.
This is going to be ending when the billing department makes the above mentioned changes.

How will this work for imaging. Currently if you spend more than 9.95 a month the fee is rebated. If you have no auctions for 3 months what will be the charge for keeping you images on file.

We now get the fee increases, but where are the changes to the Vendio stores that Vendio was talking about doing.
When will we get somthing that works better for the $4.95 a month that we all pay for Vendio stores?
